LFG Tabletop RPG Game Thread

I'm thinking i might prep a Vaesen campaign using the Beta rules I have from the kickstarter and then see if i can't figure out a suitable time to run it Hopefully by the time i have it basically set up i'll have the physical books in-hand and there'll be character sheets available on Roll 20.

Is there some sort of spreadsheet where people can input what days/times/timezones people would be available? If not, would that be a good idea to set up?

I feel like there's a more robust solution than a long spreadsheet, but I can't find what it might be. Calendly maybe?

Timing is always the issue. I DM one game on Friday nights and if I take any more weekend nights to GM/DM more games, my fiance will have me taken apart limb by limb.

That being said, I'd love to do more. If we ever do find a way to set up signups, I'd be ecstatic to get to play or GM a game of D&D 5e or Scum & Villainy. But it would likely have to be on a weeknight.

(I did set up a S&V thread a couple years ago but we only got to do one session because too many PCs had to drop out.)

Ooohhh, LANCER (I love Kill 6 Billion Demons!!) - tbh, I’d like almost anything, but my times (central Canada, evenings) are so sporadic/unstructured that I feel like I can’t commit to... well.... anything

I love hearing about all of your exploits, though

Was thinking of running a D&D5 or DungeonWorld game set in the Dragon Age universe while the pandemic's going. Anyone up for it?

Thinking of getting another Shadowrun 5E game going, since I officially have more free time than I know what to do with. Anyone interested?

We've got a Discord and everything, and I found a sheet on Roll20 that makes playing a breeze.

I'd definitely be interested in playing in something if there are spots in games out there. Definitely need more regular social stuff given the current situation.

There's also a couple of Dungeon World one-shots that, since I've already prepped and played them with my local group, I could theoretically run again for folks here if there's interest.

Well, if you (or anyone, really) is interested in trying to do a SR 5E game (it'd probably have to run on Tuesdays), feel free to DM me and I'll drop you a line to the Discord server I've been using for our previous Shadowrun/current Eberron game. We are mostly kind, welcoming people.

...........mostly.

I'd certainly be interested if it weren't for (a) the time zone difference and (b), i'm already DM'ing three (3!) D&D games, playing in one other and will also be starting up as a player in a Stars Without Number game soon as well...so my schedule is pretty full right now

Sent you a PM!

I might be interested what time are you planning on playing.

Slowly inching forward with this, hopefully towards a Session 0 kind of thing this Tuesday, April 21, so if you're interested, drop me a line!

I'm prioritizing GWJers for this, since I trust ya'll more than some random yahoos from RPGTableFinder.

I'd be interested in observing the Shadowrun game for a while, if possible. I'm, like, 20 years behind on Shadowrun.

A Quiet Year popped up on my radar via SU&SD's latest video:

Here's SU&SD's written review from several years ago.

This seems like it would make an excellent text by forum- or discord-based game! Would anyone be interested in participating in a play-by-post style community driven cartography RPG? It sounds complicated, but it seems to play pretty easily and empower all of the members to create together. Let me know if people are interested and I'll pick up the Roll20 extension. With that installed, it will be super easy for us to host and play any number of games.

I'm hoping it will be somewhat similar to that excellent outing of Revolution of Callisto hosted by Gremlin back in the day.

The Quiet Year is wonderful. I found the physicality of drawing and maintaining the map a really pleasurable part of the experience, and you definitely need some discussion up front to establish the tone and setting of the game that you're going for, but, yeah, once it's up and running it seems feasible to do it asynchronously.

I have a couple more recommendations for similar games. Will link them once I'm up and more awake!

oh hey...i totally forgot to follow this up.

BEAK, FEATHER and BONE
Here's a thing i backed on kickstarter that is pretty neat. It's a cooperative game where you take a map of a city (any map) and then build up the various factions, events, NPCs and stuff as you play. carving up control over the city as you go. Also you play Kenku.

ICARUS
It's storytelling rather than map making, but I also purchased a copy of ICARUS some time ago but not had a chance to play it yet. (For obvious reasons - in fact i must look into making a mod for it on TTS or something).

..but yeah, i'd be totally up by a play by post cartography game! So if you decide to give that a go, count me in!

Same here. I've never played anything like that and I'd love to try it out.

Ditto for Shadowrun. Never played it but I have Tuesdays free so if you still need a player, I'd be interested.

I'm setting up a "play by email" game of BEAK, FEATHER and BONE on Roll20 at the moment (hopefully finished tomorrow). Let me know who all here is interested - it can take up to 10 players (11 with an optional extra rule).

EP!!! It would be awesome to play with you again

I'm definitely in for the Beak Feather and Bone!

naturally i wasn't able to finish setting up the game today, woops! got one more D&D game to sort out for tomorrow and then i should be able to turn my attention towards it

Beak, Feather and Bone. I'd be interested!

I'll tentatively sign up. I don't know how much I'm going to be able to maintain a PBP game, but I'd like to give it a shot.

Noted! I'm prepping for D&D later today and a couple of new publishing projects came in this morning that i need to make a start on so the next couple of days are pretty hectic. I'll try to get everything set up properly for the end of the week though, whenever i can get a spare minute to finish setting up roll20.

it's a pretty fast and easy to jump into game so it shouldn't be a massive time sink. And it only lasts for a pre-determined number of turns (5 in this case) so it's not a long term thing you need to worry about.

My physical copy arrived today and I can't wait to read it. I don't think I have the time to play along, though.
