This is the "gamble" part then. More for Humble than for me...I've got more games than i can play, so it's not like I'm really out anything, but had Shadow Tactics been the headline title, they'd have my money in a heartbeat. But ESO? Couldn't be less interested.
If there's any spare keys for Shadow Tactics knocking about though.....
I'm in the same boat, jonman. And same thing next month with H1Z1. I guess that's the point, though. They want you constantly thinking that even though you may not want the headline game, you should still subscribe because you might get something great.

Oh totes. I'd be buying into that logic too, if I hadn't spent the previous several years already buying into it, resulting in a Pile of unplayed games that are pure-fried-gold.
To whit, I started playing Doom last month, after picking it up in the summer sale, then letting it gather digital dust for months. It's the tits. And that's just the tip of the Pileberg.
With all that said, I'm not inclined to gamble. When the headline game is in my wheelhouse, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm out.
Yeah, I'm not really sold on H1Z1 either. I don't really jump for shooters, I just don't have the reflexes to find them fun. Not sure if I'm going to bother pausing, I might just let it ride and see what else drops. This month, given that I meant to pause the sub and forgot... well...
ESO is somewhat interesting, but being behind another $30 payment for the newest content, and not really having a group I like to run with, I doubt I'll spend a ton of time on it. Quake and the Legends crap are not really something I'd spend time on. Shadow Tactics looks awesome, so for $12, that probably made this month worth it. The rest of the games I'm not particularly excited about. So, I guess you win some you lose some.
I wish I could put into words how uninterested I am in H1Z1. I mean, I wasn't thrilled at the last early unlocked, but this...This looks bad.
But geez! Last month was iffy, but we got Shadow Tactics! I'm SO excited about that! Dead Rising 2, and Emily is away also look like loads of fun. I'm really happy with how this month turned out. You know they've got you trapped when you're still keen on subscribing for that sweet gamble.

Same here buddy. It's mechanically quite good from the few hours I've played. But no GWJ presence (and no friends I know who are interested) sorta kills it for me. The only thing I am interested in, is the Morrowind stuff -- because Morrowind had such a fascinating world and lore. The rest just feels really bland.
Hardek wrote:Is Elder Scrolls any good? Not sure I can afford a subscription game, it would cut too much into my collection budget...
From what I played way back it was an ok action mmo but a pretty mediocre Elder Scrolls game.
I keep going back to Skyrim, but I can't after ESO. It feels so ancient and janky compared to ESO.
Just gotta say, holy crap Shadow Tactics is good. I fired it up for a quick look and ended up playing for 2 hours. I have no nostalgia for the old Commandos games, either. It's just an incredibly solid, hard, tactical gem. I adore it.
Real shame about the heave CPU usage though. I'm struggling to run it at even a constant 30. It varies between 24-50fps, which is a real pain.
Hard is right. I've loaded it up twice now and gotten my ass thoroughly kicked a number of times. It's bordering on frustrating, so I'm taking it in little spurts.
Just got an email from the about a Care package bundle and thought people might like to take a look.
This emergency relief bundle is here for only one week.
For just $30, you'll get 27 great games collectively worth over $385.100% of your payment will go to provide emergency response, medical care, and community rebuilding in the wake of recent natural disasters in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Texas, Florida, and more.
A humble (see what I did there?) request. Does anyone have an unused ESO code from November that they aren't using? I'm thinking of sticking my head back into the game and those crowns would sure come in handy!
I've already redeemed the game, but I have the "ESO Vanity pet: Bristlegut Piglet and 15 days of ESO Plus" which I could throw your way if you wanted it? The game was neat, but not my cup of tea (and seriously, I don't have time for two MMOs in my life! :P)
Totally understood If you could send that over my way, it would be much appreciated.
I've been weighing the current options for MMOs. Ones that are out are: WoW, GW2, BDO Online. Other than that I've played a few that I was thinking of going back to. ESO being one of them, Rift being another. Reading up on Rift, it seems like everyone is not thrilled about the game and how the devs have been handling things in the last year or two. Then again, reddit is just a terrible place sometimes
Tera, Trove, there's just so many games out there.
Lord of the Rings Online is fantastic. Just saying.

If I had a lifetime sub I'd totally be playing it
After speaking with Unicycle for a bit, I've decided to give FFXIV a try again. I owned the standard edition, the upgrade that included the last 2 DLCs was only $20 (50% off BF deal). Overall I'm enjoying it so far but I'm 3 hours in, level 9, and it's still day 1. I'll consider this the "honeymoon phase" and see if everything is still awesome a couple months from now.
Comes for one game, leaves with another... Hehe, sorry!
Next month's is active. Three known games are:
- Quantum Break
- Dawn of War 3
- The Long Dark
I'm sorta tempted? I already have Long Dark. Quantum Break looks kind of interesting. Dawn of War 3 my heart says I want, but my brain says I've bounced off literally every RTS I've tried, including Dawn of War 1 and 2, but it's also 40k, which I like...

You can start playing it for free, you know.

I liked(mostly) what I played of Quantum Break. The story stuff was interesting and the weird tv show within a game is my kind of weird. That said I got pretty frustrated with the gameplay in sections to the point where I just stopped playing. My friend who beat it didn't find it all that hard but I kept running into points I'd have to play over and over.
A few neat things this month that I don't have, nothing fantastic though.
Next month however! :O Definitely in for Warhammer and QB, both of which I don't really care too much about buying directly but I'll certainly play 'em as part of the bundle!
The last 3 months, I would have happily stumped up the money had I known what the hidden games were, but the known games weren't interesting.

DOW 3 is fun...let me know if you want to do some comp stomps.
I'll probably grab this for QB and Long Dark. I'll also probs have a copy of DoW to give away...
The last three months have been a total let down to me... none of the headliner games were any interest. I at least redeemend ESO, but won't bother with H1Z1.
But this month, I want it all ... DoW3 and Quantum Break are both on my wishlist already. I own the long dark, but I tend to view that as a good game as well.
So yeah, I'm excited.
Excited about Nex Machina, and paid early for DOW 3.
I forgot to cancel for this month because I had zero interest in H1Z1, but happy nonetheless to get The Sexy Brutale and Nex Machina.
Wow I was totally going to get the full Nemesis bundle on Fanatical,
https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/...
because I wanted to check out The Sexy Brutale, but decided to wait until the monthly reveal.... awesome!!!
Think I'll go in for the first tier to get From the Depths and others.
Eh, not a bad bundle after all. In order of my own personal excitement:
- Sexy Brutalle. I was so close to buying this in the recent sale! I can't believe I still haven't doubled up, but this is the closest I've been. Heard amazing things about this.
- Nex Machina. As a child, I adored my copy of Robotron 64. I bought it while on holiday, and it always brings back great memories when I play it today. This looks like a wonderful evolution. Plus, I heckin' LOVE bullet hell stuff.
- Blazblu. I'm no good at fighters, but I do own a fightstick! I'll at least get a little bit of fun out of this. It's a series I've always been intrigued by, but I just don't have the time to justify purchasing it. For a pack in, I'm thrilled.
- Strafe...Eh? I've heard it's pretty average. I'll probably get a kick out of playing a game which references my favourite time-period in gaming, though. I grew up on stuff like Quake 2, UT99.
- Rivals of the Aether, I'd rather just play Smash Bros tbh.
The rest don't really appeal to me, but I think this is the first time I'm not going to give away any keys (unless someone wants to take H1Z1 from me, gross)
And this month's unlocks? Holy crap! Aint this the first month of IGN being in charge? That's incredible! I'm particularly interested in Dawn of War. I love Warhammer stuff, but wasn't keen on paying full price. This is perfect. Yes!
All the games in this month's bundle were unknown to me. I'm going to give them a shot, with an open mind, but on the face of it this month wasn't worthwhile for me. Next month's though... if that's the known titles, I can't imagine how much better it'll be to get the unlocks, but they're enough for me to jump on it early.

The Sexy Brutale is great! So glad more people will play it!
I played THOR.N... it was an interesting idea, and I was kind of digging the clicker-ness of it, but I was waiting for it to really open up and then bam it ended.
Hard to recommend, but if you play it anyway at least it won't even take you an hour to complete.
This particular bundle doesn't have anything I'm sorry I missed. I definitely would have picked up the November's if Humble would have showcased the right title. Shadow Tactics, yes. Quake Champions, not so much.
