Humble Monthly Gamble Discussion Thread

Got a couple more things I didn't have this month, so it gets another reprive!

- Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide
- plus Schluesselschloss and The Outsider DLC
- Project CARS
- Mother Russia Bleeds
- Neon Chrome
- Jotun (the only one I already had)
- HoPiKo
- Kimmy (some sort of visual novel thing? the non-steam game of the month)

You also got The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - you have to pick if you want it as a Steam key or DRM-Free - they won't do both. There should be a radio button choice and link at the top of the Get Bundle page

oh yeah for got to add that one - already have that though anyway

So I'm not sure if this should go here or elsewhere, but I am going to order the monthly humble bundle for xcom2. Noticed there is a refer a friend and someone can get $3. It is only $3 but if someone wants to refer me for that $3, please pm me. I'm going to order it by the end of the week.

That went fast. Offer is claimed.

Here is another referral if anyone else is signing up.

New Bundle is out!

Not much I don't already have this month.

Steam Games

- Xcom 2
- Ryse : Son of Rome (Meh, but I suppose for "free" it might be worth a look)
- ABZU
- Steamworld heist
- Okhlos, (which I've not heard of)
- Project Hi-Rise
- Husk (which I've also not heard of)

Other

- Hollow Knight Sneak Peek
- Oh Deer!

HOWEVER...

next month's early game is Total War: Warhammer. So that guarantees me sticking around for that!

I passed on X-com 2 because I really hit a wall on the first reboot at a certain point. I'm all in for Total War: Warhammer though.

Oh man, I should have opted in for Project Highrise.

Boo.

EDIT:

Not fishing for a PH key, btw.

No time in my gaming schedule as it stands.

Yes, I could kick myself for buying ABZU and Okhlos during the winter sale.

I've heard Okhlos being called almost Pikmin in a way, but I have not played Pikmin, so I cannot say for sure. Basically, you control a mob, kill soldiers, avoid obstacles, destroy all of Greece and kill a few gods. I would highly recommend it with a controller or you'll be clicking a lot.

Husk is the new game that only game out today that is part of the bundle, so no one knows what it is, it seems classic survival horror in the first person. We'll have to see.

Really impressed with this months selection, figured with xcom 2 the rest of the month wouldn't have much I was interested in but I'm very happy.

And then they got me for next month with Warhammer as well very cool.

An excellent bundle this month, only owned Steamworld Heist.

Already bought in for Total War: Warhammer.

Happy birthday to meeeeeeee.

I'm pretty happy with my first go-round. I came for Xcom 2, which justified the price. Steamworld Heist is a nice bonus, since I've been wanting that. I already had Abzu (also bought from the winter sale, but at least I already finished it!), and everything else is kinda meh.

I think I'll definitely be in for next month. Warhammer for that price is a good deal.

So not bad in all honest. Excited for next month too.

I skipped this month after letting it roll the last 4 months. Solid month, but I already own 4 of the games in the bundle so I think it worked out for me. I'll definitely be in for March with Total Warhammer, even though I've never played a Warhammer OR Total War game.

I'm new to the gamble. Signed up for XCOM2... pleasantly surprised with Steamworld Heist, and then Porject Highrise, ABZU, and Okhlos look interesting. The Oh Deer! game looks kind of silly too, so I'll give that a whirl. Signed up next month for WH:TW too.

Ryse and Husk... meh. I'm not much into horror/thriller games, and Ryse just doesn't seem worth putting a lot of time into.

Oh, and for ABZU... I have a 6 year old that's learning to read, and that looked like it might be a hit with him. For anyone who's played it, (without giving spoilers) would it be appropriate for a young kid?

Yeah, Abzu would be fine for a 6 year old. There's no reading at all, and there's almost no "enemies", and no way to die or fail. You basically swim through and see the pretty fish.

Ryse kind of interests me, but not in an "I will pay money to play this" kind of way, so really, this is basically the only way I was ever going to to try it, so neat, I guess.

Haha, thanks. I loaded it up so we could go through it. I can't get my control pad to work, so I had him controlling the mouse while I controlled the keyboard. It really worked out well.

Quick edit... my son and I already finished it. It doesn't take long to get through, and has some very simple and repetitive puzzles... but damn it's pretty.

Here's an interesting thing, when I went to get my key for The Witness for next month's bundle, I was given the option to get The Witness (steam Or DRM free) or Humble Store Wallet Credit of $5.

As for the March bundle, hit it big there for me

Total War: Warhammer

Poly Bridge - 3d physics bridge building
Space Run Galaxy - Been eying that a while
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 - almost bought that the last time it was on sale
RIVE - the last game from two tribes
Flat Heroes - local mulitplayer thing
Morphblade - no clue

Interesting month, besides Poly Bridge I know nothing at all about these games. Was cool to not get a single duplicate key but worried these games might not have anything I like with them.

Debating on keeping this going for the witness. I have it on PS4 but never play it. This on computer with ability to screen capture and use ms paint to draw on puzzles is temping.

I already had Warhammer so I didn't get the bundle. Only wanted Space Run Galaxy out of the rest of the games. The first was pretty good. Space Run Galaxy isn't enough to carry the bundle, but Warhammer for that price is a good deal for sure.

Every month I get psyched to see what the reveal is and I always already have it or I'm not interested.

The Xcom 2 month was great for me so I was happy to keep the sub going. This month feels a little weak but maybe I'm wrong, won't judge these until I play them.

I was really hoping for hyper light drifter though, I had no reason to think it would be in the pack just wishful thinking lol.

The Witness is a fantastic puzzle game. I can't think of a similar type of puzzle game that I enjoyed more.

Yeah, I might go on on The Witness Monthly.

Been at the top of my Steam Wishlist forever.

That'd be the side project from Tom Francis, creator of Gunpoint, and the upcoming Heat Signature.

Now you've definitely caught my interest there

Kind of meh on this one. Zero interest in Morphblade, Flat Heroes, or OPPW3. RIVE... is a maybe, but mostly because my son might get into it (though it looks like it'd kick our asses pretty hard). Poly Bridge looked interesting and I had looked at Space Run Galaxy a while back so I went ahead and grabbed that one. Very little interest in next month's bundle, so I think I'll sit that one out.

I wasn't expecting much out of the add on games with this bundle, but Space Run Galaxy has been on my wishlist for a while, so that's a plus for me.

I'm pausing for next month. I'm intrigued by The Witness, but am in no hurry to play it, and have a lot of stuff I want to get to before that.

I'm sad I missed this bundle (because I already had The Witness). I've been waiting on Event[0] and Tumblestone. I should probably just bite the bullet and just get it every month.

Well, this month had the Witness and Black Mesa? That's a huge score

Layers of Fear seems like cheezy horror fun
haven't heard of Kingdom: New Lands
I was eyeing Event[0], now I don't have to anymore
Tumblestone is a puzzle game with multiplayer, so can't complain there
Slime-san is the new game of the bunch
Jawns is the humble original

Overall, the whole thing was worth it for the Witness and Black Mesa, and two more I was eyeing to buy, were in there as well, so another nice bundle for me at least. Now I just need time to play them : - )

Hate to say it, but that's why I call it a Monthly Gamble, sometimes I have two or three duplicates, sometimes I have all new ones, like this month.

Roll the dice and you may win, or your can bust out. For me, I call it the, the way to keep myself from spending less money on gaming this year. So far, it's working.
