Note to self: no matter how much of a hurry you're in, it's never too much to hit "preview" and fix broken images and formatting.

The second was when Ccesarano invited me to do a Let's Play video of Godzilla. The audio came out borked, but it was super fun just talking games with Chris as I watched him destroying various Japanese landmarks as a giant lizard.

We ought to do that again sometime. It was fun.

Actually, I did get myself a copy of Duke Nukem Forever on 360 for a dollar...

ccesarano thanks for posting all those pics from PAX! That one was so special for me. I'd gone to every PAX East prior with a decent sized group of friends, but that year they all opted out My wife and I knew it'd be our last PAX for a while because she was 6 months pregnant, and we were very nervous about doing this last one without our friends. We were pretty shy about meeting up with everyone, but it was phenomenal meeting you and everyone else who was there. I can't believe it's been a full three years since then because it's how I knew I'd found my new home on the internet.

It was the last PAX I was at as well. It sounds like PAX East has never been so big since in regards to GWJer presence. I'd love to get people to make the switch to MAGFest, but as it's so close to the holidays most times I don't think it's on most folks' radar.

Congratulations (and more importantly, THANKS) to the whole CC crew for the 500 episodes so far.

I think I first started listening to the cast in 2007. It took me too long to join the forum which I did in 2010. You boys and girls have been part of my weekly routine for almost 10 years.

I followed a similar path. I listened to the CC for a couple of years before dipping my toe into the forum. I'm sorry I waited so long.

Congrats on 500 folks! I look forward to listening to the podcast every week and visit the forums every day for the past 11 years (wow)! I came here from the previous Gone Gold site and never looked back. Special place with great people!

Same here. I still visit the successor site (Octopus Overlords), but life has conspired to make those visits less frequent than they should be. GWJ, though, is my "home" on the intertubes.

No you don't! I've got DNF on my PC that I've wanted to replay but haven't specifically because I want the achievements to pop up during a lets play (my previous plays through were on the PS3). I've gone over a year without replaying it for this. Don't take it from me!

Also, I don't have a 360.

But yes, we ought to do that.

Congrats on 500! Everyone should drink more champagne!

I love this community. I wish we gathered together in the meat space more often. I am hoping Overwatch -- which I have yet to actually play because Blizzard hates me -- brings us all together online on a regular basis. My secret hope is that it will be a return to the early days of TF2 when you couldn't go online without immediately receiving 15 invites from GWJers looking to play together.

My favorite memories of GWJ will always focus on the early days of Joint Operations and the first PAX (original) slap n' tickle. Oh, and that time in Battlefield 4 when I ran over the Game King with my ATVon the flooded map. I don't think I've ever laughed with such glee in a video game.

Thanks for keeping the Conference Call (and the community going). Congratulations on 500!

Yes.

By the way, whatever happened to International GWJer Day? When I first signed up for the forums it seemed to be a thing, but I haven't really seen much of it recently.

With the waterworks - dang, don't you know people listen to this while they drive?!?

But seriously, great work everyone and I'm so happy to have listened for the past 3 or so years. I look forward to many more, and would love to meet you all one day.

Oh man, what a great show this was. The 500th did not disappoint. Such sweet memories and fun stories. You guys are awesome. Thank you all so much for sharing. It was all so touching I had to hop on the site. I seldom come on here and don't recall the last time I've even posted--its been years. But the show made me feel like I've been neglecting family by not coming on here, even if I've never REALLY been an active part of the community.

I say we need more small, localized slap and tickles. If anyone is in the Inland Empire, hit me up, let's get together.

Also, long live the game king.

I have that episode saved somewhere but for the life of my I can't remember what number it is.

When Sean streams as the Game King, he should green screen the throne room from Civ 2 behind him.

Congrats on 500. I'm still quietly listening. Keep it up!

Carl L.

Congrats. Still haven't managed to meet to many folks in person, but this site is such a refuge. Keep it up. You guys/gals are fantastic.

I miss beardy Cory.

Just created an account to say that I live in Versailles, KY! Allen's name drop was too much. I started listening last year and this podcast has become one of my very favorites. Like the creators, I'll never miss a week. Cheers!

I'm just a bit LTTP, but I just wanted to say congratulations on 500 episodes, and thanks for the great podcast and community! I've been listening to the CC for about 6 years and it has been my gaming podcast of choice. I've only recently decided to jump in and join the community - what a great bunch of people we have here! I totally failed at hanging out with any at PAX South, but I hope to remedy that at Gen Con this year.

Hey guys, back from lurksville to say congrats on the big 500! Really enjoying the curse server and the Rocket League crew. Coming back to GWJ is like putting on a pair of comfy old shoes.

If it's any consolation, there are plenty of towns in Illinois with "idiosyncratic" pronunciations.

Hey everybody, I'm a long time listener, and brand new to the forum. I've heard Amanda mention the GWJ Curse channel a few times, but I haven't been able to find it. How can I get in and hang out with everybody?

Just because I was looking for this:
00:37:00 Birth of the Game King

I'm fairly certain Elysium was born before the thirty-seventh minute of the 500th episode. I have a few pieces of evidence:

EXHIBIT A: I've heard him in previous episodes.

EXHIBIT B: He has children. If he was born on May 10th it would be extremely unlikely that he could have created offspring. Even accounting for the fact that the episode might have been recorded a few days prior to when it went out.

EXHIBIT C: If time travel existed, then why didn't anyone try and assassinate Hitler?

EXHIBIT D: Wait, Hitler took Hitler out. Which means Hitler could have been a time traveler sent back to take himself out before he did horrible things.

EXHIBIT E: Wait, that's ridiculous.

EXHIBIT F: It dawns on me that I am not 100% certain how evidence works.

EXHIBIT G: I could really go for a sandwich.

EXHIBIT H: [Redacted]

EXHIBIT I: I've heard him on previous episodes

EXHIBIT J: Wait, did I already do that one?

EXHIBIT N: Oh no, I've misplaced stuff.

EXHIBIT W: This is spiraling out of control.

EXHIBIT Z: Okay, you can recover. Pull out a good one for the end.

EXHIBIT AA: Dammit. Messed that up. Back to the orphanage for me, I guess.
