I want to congratulate and thank everyone involved in creating and maintaining 500 weekly Gamers With Jobs podcasts.
I discovered you guys around episode 300, and you quickly established yourselves as a regular part of my week that I eagerly look forwards to. (I even went back and listened to the previous 300 shows !)
Your voices and personalities, although we have never met, are as familiar as good friends and family, and I eagerly look forwards to listening to what games have earned your enthusiasm each week.
Thank you guys, we love you !

If the 1,000th episode isn't streamed in VR, that's not a world I want to live in.

I had to bail around the 1 hour mark to read to the kids and tuck them in, so I'm glad to have the recording to listen to.

Oh, you lot are awesome! It was such a joy listening to this show and many congratulations on hitting 500 episodes.
The Game King clip with Rob Zacny and then Certis succumbing to bubbly intoxication and waves of emotion were particularly endearing to listen to. My highlight from listening to the podcast for 4+ years must be Allen Cook's first encounter with Viscera Cleanup Detail in a section of the show hailed for bullsh*t simulators. That episode was so funny I nearly fell off my bike laughing!
Well done again to everyone involved with the show and website. You all bring some extra brightness to our lives.
Oh sure, the one point in the broadcast I had to AFK was that one.
I wish you guys would stop encouraging him.

Hey all, I don't contribute to the forums nearly as much as I'd like (having no reply notification emails doesn't help grumble grumble), but I've been listening to the call/podcast since the very beginning, lo those many years ago. Always look forward to it. Congratulations!!

Congratulations on #500!
I think I first started listening to the cast in 2007. It took me too long to join the forum which I did in 2010. You boys and girls have been part of my weekly routine for almost 10 years.

Congrats on 500 folks! I look forward to listening to the podcast every week and visit the forums every day for the past 11 years (wow)! I came here from the previous Gone Gold site and never looked back. Special place with great people!
Congratulations everyone, and thank you so much for all the casts and everything you do to keep this place running.
I came relatively late to this community years after I'd left my previous Internet home behind, and at a point in my life when I had little time to give. I'm proud to call this my home on the internet, and it's in no small part because of all the wonderful things you all talked about in this cast. Kudos and here's to many more casts!
I very distinctly remember getting into the GWJ podcast, it was at a time when I was really getting heavy back into PC gaming but I didn't have any local friends who shared that hobby (and my kids weren't old enough yet). There were all of these games I was playing, but not talking about with anyone. Suddenly there's this group of people all talking about the stuff I was into, and it was almost like having an instant group of friends to share that with. The only downside is that all of our arguments have been disappointingly one-sided.
Great show! Only halfway through it but really enjoying all the reminiscences so far. Looking forward to 500 more!

I'm only willing to take credit for keeping the Front Page "running" inasmuch as "running" means "not entirely broken down."
But it's been my pleasure and honor to back you folks up, occasionally contribute to the podcast, and to call you all friends.
Words... are a big deal.

I remember how pissed off I was when you changed to your current theme music (to this day I use the old music as my morning alarm).
It is only now that I realize that I have been with you for about 450 of these 500 episodes, at least.

I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the latest, but I just wanted to say that I'm honored to have been a part of this podcast, in whatever small way, over the years. I've got some happy, happy memories associated with the making of this show, and I'm proud to count its hosts among my dearest friends.
Happy 500th, and here's to another 500 more! Viva Elk Hunt!

Not too many of you guys. Most of my interactions with the Podcast crew has been brief and in hindsight very embarrassing. But! I have plenty of pictures of my past GWJ meet-ups, of which there are not many due to the loss of a job that enabled such travel out of me.
Spoiler-tagged to hide the images and keep the post short (and yes I know most of these can be found in their respective con threads but I figure this organizes them in one nice space).
And those are all the photos I have of GWJerdom. Hoping to get the chance to meet more now that I have a more stable job again and can make my way out to other cities and such.
Thanks to all of you that have tolerated my presence. You're extremely patient people.

Omg look how dark his beard is!
I'm terrible at meeting Goodjers.
In 2009 I organized the Slap and Tickle for Pax East, which went a bit awry because I was late and the restaurant botched the reservation cards ( they put my real name on it instead of GWJ, which is what I requested). Then I proceeded to trip over my own face because I got star struck talking to Rabbit, and even though I almost redeemed myself be returning the book he left at the S&T I still couldn't shake the notion that I made a colossal fool of myself.
Then I met some of you at Pax East this year, and I spent the whole drive home wondering if you thought I was a jerk because I was distracted and generally awkward on top of recovering from pneumonia the previous week.( I take ownership of the awkwardness and distraction, but the pneumonia wasn't my fault.)
I do have a few memorable experiences that are neither embarrassing nor anxious, though, and they're enough to keep me from complaining.
The first was when Wordsmythe recruited me to write for the front page. I wasn't even sure I wanted to do it at first, because I didn't think I was good enough and didn't want to let everybody down. My wife talked me out of that, thankfully, and writing the TLDPs has been some of the most fun I've ever had at a keyboard.
The second was when Ccesarano invited me to do a Let's Play video of Godzilla. The audio came out borked, but it was super fun just talking games with Chris as I watched him destroying various Japanese landmarks as a giant lizard.
The third one was recording my top games for 2014 with Certis. Even though I'm pretty sure I made a complete idiot of myself and ensured I'll never be invited on the conference call again, that was a very enjoyable experience and I'm glad to have done it.
So Vive le Goodjer, and here's to another 500 conference calls! This site; podcast, front page and forums; has been an important part of my life for nearly a decade now. Thanks for all the great commentary, advice and especially the laughs.

ccesarano thanks for posting all those pics from PAX! That one was so special for me. I'd gone to every PAX East prior with a decent sized group of friends, but that year they all opted out My wife and I knew it'd be our last PAX for a while because she was 6 months pregnant, and we were very nervous about doing this last one without our friends. We were pretty shy about meeting up with everyone, but it was phenomenal meeting you and everyone else who was there. I can't believe it's been a full three years since then because it's how I knew I'd found my new home on the internet.
