Battlefield 1 Catch-All: It is LIVE!

I think my favorite was 1.5...? The last one before they put in riot shields. Bunny hopping was dumb. I was glad when they got rid of it.

/end shameless thread hijack

Edit: I think my html is shaky.

Heh now when I get to the new shotgun unlock, it's get the 50 kills, top goal, then the 15 kills in one round..other way around...love the consistency, or lack of..really poor on Dice part.

Been playing the new BF1 maps on Xbox. Looking for others to play with. My gt is o BOOTH o, feel free to add me.

I was skimming the last page and have a question for you guys. What kind of hand/finger pains do you guys have? I was playing this weekend for a good few hours and had unbearable finger joint pain on Saturday. I know from experience that my fingers dont ache as much using a controller (I am playing on PC). So on Sunday I used my PS4 controller while playing, and after adjusting to the controls I felt perfectly fine playing this way. Am I the worst?

For reference I am only in my mid 20s and have seen a doctor about the pain, and they essentially told me to do finger exercises and stretch them regularly, try to use different input methods etc.

Not at all. I took years off from FPS games after getting RSI issues in my mouse hand and I still mouse with my left hand at work as a result. That was in my 20s. Now, as long as I stretch and work out a bit, use the right mouse, and don't do marathon gaming sessions it's fine.

Yeah I played for 8 hours on Saturday and I assume thats why it got so bad. Usually I can use a mouse to game but I think the length of play time that day was just a bit too much haha Also feel free to add me on Origin as i plan on playing this more. I'm BagelMage on there too.

/sigh, of course ESL ONE is about the only thing he can cite. =/

I have had mouse RSI that started in my 20s (I'm 37). I have been able to keep the pain under control by using vertical ergonomic mice at work and using controllers a lot more.

Doc is right. Exercise is the key. Anything with grip strength. I played a bard in Everquest (look up Everquest Bard song twisting on youtube) and had to sit for literally hours just pressing 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4 over and over. I got sever chronic pain in my left hand and and certain actions would literally make it seize up like a claw. Doctors said I needed to have surgery on my hand but I refused. I started working out using more free weights and doing pull-ups and climbing and fixed it without any surgery or medication. That was like 15 years ago. I still have problems if I'm typing a lot or something but it's bearable now and I continue to work out.

Also need to make sure that when typing or playing games for long periods that you have support under your wrists. The old school of typing wrecks your wrists.

What mouse are you using?

I'd been on a smaller mouse for a while, chose it largely because of sensor performance and more importantly the light weight (the Logitech G Pro). After a while I realized my grip style and the size of my hand just didn't jive with the mouse at all. Swapped to a more fuller shaped G403, much of my pains went away.

Spring update notes

https://www.battlefield.com/news/upd...

I play as a medic a lot, hope the new feature will help to improve my job and avoid those damn skips

If you’ve ever played as a Medic, dashing through hailstorms of bullets and explosions disregarding your own safety to get to a fallen team mate, only to have them “skip” at the very last second, you know how frustrating it can be.

You can now “spot” the dead player to indicate that you are on your way to them. The player will see your name blinking in the death screen and show as “incoming medic”. The medic will also shout that he is coming.

If they decide to skip anyway, they didn’t deserve to be saved in the first place.

The "new" Hellriegel is the one I really don't understand...I hate assaults and their guns and this will be annoying as hell for sure.

Just wondering if there any GWJ platoon for Xbox?

Been out of the game for quite a while, never grabbed me like BF4 did.

What's new which might it worth returning to?

Check out some of the discussion on the Russian DLC (In The Name Of The Tsar) that's coming in a few weeks. Both Jackfrags and Westie are posting weapon previews on YouTube. They might pique your interests.

Hey folks, I've picked this up on PS4. PSN ID is HeidShot - feel free to add me. And if there's a group that plays regularly, I'd love to join.

Havn't played for a while and the time difference may not work but feel free to add me. Think I would play more if I had folk to play with.

I've been playing for the price of my EA Access subscription for the past week or so and have enjoyed myself so much that I'm considering the newly-announced Revolution Edition for the base game + all current and future DLC packs. Pretty good deal for $50 and I feel like it's something I can go back to when I've grown bored with my flavor of the month.

This game runs and plays like a dream, and I love the slightly slower pace of the WWI-era weaponry and technology (as opposed to the past several years of futuristic insanity from the CoD series). That said, my K/D ratio is suffering plenty as I relearn BF mechanics.

Anyone running and gunning on Xbox One these days?

I waited for this to come to EA Access and play it now for an hour or so a few days a week, mostly after 21.00 GMT.

My K/D is also really bad and I'm trying to find the sweet spot on my sensitivity, but at some point I have to be honest to myself and admit that I pretty much suck at aiming with a controller, and need much more training than is possible at this point.

I do however enjoy playing as a sneaky/cowardly medic that is PTFO and try to follow my ragtag squad of anonymous strangers. When they/we work together things usually turn out pretty good for us, but when you get four John McClanes I suffer... (My profile picture is for exterior similarities only, and not saying anything about my attitude in WW1 team shooters ;-))

One of the best BF games to date

I will definitely watch matches but there is no way I'll ever play at that level.

Every so often, a glorious round of clips comes out

Brilliant!

Hah! Dank as hell indeed.

Anyone still playing this on PS4? I'd forgotten how much fun it could be. Only have the base game but is it worth picking up the 2 expansions ahead of the 3rd one in December?
