Throw me an invite too. athros#34457

It seems interesting so far.

Yay! New shop keepers!

I will accept tomorrow night. Guess there is a 24 hour cooldown after you make your own city.

Been away for about a week or so, going to try and get back into it again. I'm stuck in a weird loop where all my people are over 20 but most of my gear isn't. Trying to upgrade it all is taking so much time. ;_;

Yeah, I've been somewhat purposefully trying not to level my guys up much more for the same reason.

Boot me if you need space. I hit the "wtaf am I doing?" point I always do with these games.

Is there a secret to earning money in this game? I'm level 25, 60% of the way to 26, and I'm looking at my net worth compared to b12n11w00t and Bfgp. They are both my level and I'm not even in the ballpark of their net worth. What am I not doing? My main source of income right now is running my heroes on the quest with the frozen blue things and then selling them for about 95K each on the market.

Hell, I want to know the secret to gaining levels. I need 18 to hire another worker so I can actually progress in hero power (I need a Textile/Arts and Crafts worker).

Leveling up just comes from selling stuff to your heroes when they come to your shop. It's the grind of the game. Today is the last day of double XP so focus on doing nothing but that today. Also, if you click on "surcharge" before selling it will raise the price of the item, but it costs you hearts. So, level up your max hearts and buy racks for your shop which increases the amount of hearts you get for selling items. You can work it so you are getting just as many hearts in return as it costs you to do the surcharge. For example, if I sell a boot right now I get +22 hearts because of the level of my boot rack. So, if it cost me 24 hearts to do a surcharge on a pair of boots, but I get 22 hearts back when I sell the boot then I'm only losing 2 hearts on the sale.

I save up any gems and buy keys from the marketplace and then turn around and sell those coins on the marketplace for coins instead of gems. Gold keys sell for around 100m.

Yeah leveling is just a straight up grind. The item racks help give you bonus hearts so you can convince heroes to buy them. It's a good idea to build items like herbs, potions and jewelry because they're almost universally accepted by the heroes.

Also, athros, don't be afraid to fire/rehire workers when starting out to find what's the best combination for you.

Ahh, didn't think about flipping keys for money. I may have to look at doing that so I can upgrade my building a bit more.

I kind of took advantage of the Inn mechanism (when it was cheap to activate) to send heroes on frozen core quests and finish them in 5 minutes. So at one point I was doing about 2 runs an hour with my hero roster.

Frozen Cores are still great income especially if you overlevel your heroes and you need to catch up with gearing.

My other trick to gold is simply making things which hit a sweet spot on gearing and lack of supply. This is light armour (for some reason hats, gloves and robes aren't as popular as their heavy armour equivalents) but also anything which equips level 15-25 heroes will sell really well, especially Good or Great quality versions. Level 20 and 25 are common hero level caps so you will find players with excess gold (like me) who keep breaking items on questing that need replacing.

Yeah once you get past gear level 15 you can start selling those items in the market for much more than they're normally worth. Especially if you start taking advantage of fusing items. But if you do that you stall out on leveling(because those items aren't going to heroes) so it's a give and take.

Man, levelling is a massive grindfest in this game. I stopped at level 25 to focus on gearing heroes and making gold to invest in the city to raise hero level caps. The x2 EXP buff is nice but ideally base EXP progression needs to be revised.

Also try to rank up recipes that use diverse ingredients so even if you burn your leather/iron/cloth/steel reserves you can switch to wood and herb recipes.

I posted this in our in game chat, but any interest in changing our mayor choice to sorcerer tower? My wizard is capped out until we upgrade that building. I'm assuming others are having the same problem.

I'll change it over when I get on a bit later tonight.

We are getting close to leveling up the sorcerers tower for a 2nd time. Did we want to move our mayors choice to something else once we finish the current level on the tower? Maybe back to the town hall or is there something else we should look at leveling up first?

Ok, I'm officially mayor now and am going to change our focus to Marketplace unless people want to do something different. That is as soon as I figure out how to do that as I don't see an option anywhere. Maybe I need to be mayor for 24 hour's before I can make the change.

Thanks for taking over, a new Kairosoft game came out and I'm a sucker for those.

You can boot me. I tried it, lost interest really quickly.

I'm still hooked. We may need to go back on a recruiting campaign because stuff is getting really spendy!

Anyone doing any of the arena stuff?

I've been doing them but I hit a wall last night and lost more than I won. Think I've around 700 honor or whatever it is called.

PA the option to change mayor stuff is in a tab when you click on your shop keeper.

Oh man thanks for pointing that out. I would not have thought to look there as I almost never go to that screen.
