Portal Knights Catch-All

I just started playing Portal Knights!

It's a great Minecraft / Zelda game that blends the building aspects of Minecraft with some RPG and dungeon crawling from Zelda. I'm digging it.

I'd love to find some friends to jump into worlds with.

I've been keeping an eye on this one. I love MInecraft and RPGs so this seems like a great fit. Still is in very early access, it just hit Steam Early Access on Feb 26

Here's a link in case peeps are curious: http://store.steampowered.com/app/37...

If anyone wants to play together, my steam is astralplaydoh.

Don't know if you still play, but I just picked this up today. My steam name is in my signature block.

Edit: Disregard. Didn't care for it and pushed for a Steam refund. For anyone looking into this, it is my personal opinion, that Creativerse is lightyears better and is still currently free. As far as those that are paid access, my favorites are Terraria and then Starbound. I don't think I need to mention Minecraft.

I was also just accepted for the free Skysaga alpha. It looks promising, but I'm still downloading, so I'll have to report back on it later.

So, I'll start by saying I don't even remember Skysaga, so it must not have been very good...

As far as Portal Knights, it is free on PS Plus this month and I couldn't remember why I didn't like it. So, I went ahead and downloaded again. At the very least, I thought maybe my 6 and 7 year old might enjoy playing some split-screen co-op with dad.

The verdict is still out, I've put a few hours in here and there - probably about 6-10 in all - and I don't hate it. I'm just not... engrossed (yet). I think the biggest problem right now is that I'm on the second island and I'm not really sure what to do or where to go. I will say that as far as Minecraft clones go, I tend to be drawn more to those that provide some sort of objectives. In order of most-to-least directive, I would say my favorites have been Dragon Quest Builders, Terraria, and Creativerse. IMO, Portal Knights seems to fall to the lower end of that spectrum, if not even further down.

Anyway, I think I "could" enjoy it, so I'm not ready to give up on it quite yet. I guess I just need to look around online for some early game tips. And get my kids to jump on with me to checkout the coop.

Who else is jumping in this month with PS Plus?
