Doom Catch-All of Doom

With some perseverance, quite a bit of dying, and getting better at sniping the cannon off of the spider creature I made it through the first mission.

I love some of the music in this game!

How does fast travel work? I missed 2 items in the first mission, and I got a message saying fast travel is unlocked. Can I fast travel from one mission to a different one?

How far in is the slow mo rune? Is it one of the 2 things I missed in mission 1?

To answer your questions. Go to Mission Select from the main menu, rather than like... Continue or whaever. I think you can also select from a screen in the portal room/bridge.

You pick which runes you want. You just need to find the rune tokens.

It's great for avoiding grinds and making yourself powerful, definitely. Unfortunately doesn't work very well on Stadia where I own Doom Eternal.

Don't blame the victim!

I cannot imagine playing a twitch game via Stadia. That seems like punishment.

If you actually tried it, you might be surprised.

YMMV, depends on connection, etc. etc. It works great for me. Racing games are on the same level of reaction time importance and I have zero problems with them on Stadia.

I don't really like the game streaming thing on principle. But if people like it more power to them, and you also obviously.

Age restricted and might only be viewable on YouTube, but here’s DOOM Eternal on an RTX 3080 ti in 4K with Ray Tracing on. Just make sure you select the HIGHEST quality in your options (gear icon)

Been playing Doom II (360) with my brother on Ultra Violence coop. So much fun!

He's been guiding us on exact steps to take on each level and I'm always like, "How does he know where all the keys are and how to tackle each map after 25 years?!"

Turns out he's been playing it on Nightmare for the last seven months and finally beat it to rank 19th in the world and even had a T10 score on Level...40 (? - the levels start to recount on the leaderboard for the Doom II expansion maps) and if you get a T10 they'll post your run for viewing.

Most impressive.

He's now doing an Ultra Violence run with a single life and made it to Level 28. Amazing!

I'm shopping the Bethesda store right now to pick him up a token or flag or one of those replica card keys to commemorate it. My inner 15yo is just blown away!

ETA: he just texted me.

Beat the entirety of Hell on Earth, Ultra Violence - no saves, no deaths, no pauses allowed.
1 hour, 58 minutes, 4 seconds.

Rip and Tear.
