You get a whole extra day this year in order to tackle that mammoth backlog of games. I say go for the 100+ hour JRPG, you've got an additional 24 hours!
If you're interested, m0nk3yboy, has the 12 month 2016 pile plan thread over here.
If you want to play the same game with a group of Goodjers and discuss. This February we've got Lords of the Fallen over in SallyNasty's Game Club thread.
If you have a ridiculous JRPG backlog, Damnable Bear has got you covered in the Quarterly JRPG Club thread. This quarter is Atelier Totori: The Adventure of Arland.
ClockworkHouse has the Gaiden JRPG club over here. This quarter they're playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
A quick reminder, in order to be considered "Pile of Shame" the game needs to be at least three months old. Otherwise, it's just a new game you haven't gotten to playing yet.
Also, if you are curious about some of the previous threads, Picks of the Pile, etc... Please go here and check out the spreadsheet I setup.
This month's Pick of the Pile isGravity Rush
"Gain a new perspective as Kat, a strong-willed girl trying to protect her future in a world that's crumbling to pieces. With incredible gravity-altering abilities, Kat is the only one who can salvage the floating city of Hekseville – if only she could remember who she is…" (Official Site)

I'll be declaring Sunset (PC), Invisible Inc (Multi), and Technobabylon (PC).
That should keep me plenty busy.
Put me down for mario and Luigi Dream Team (3DS)
With Fallout New Vegas out of the way in January, I'm continuing with Trails in the Sky on the PSP (aiming to finish in March with the quarterly jrpg club).
So while I continue to enjoy this thread, there is no game I will be finishing in February. I'm well along in Fallout 4 (around 35-40 hours played) and no end in sight because that's such a fun world to explore and I am finding the factions interesting to learn about. X-Com 2 is out this week, and there's no way I'm going to hold off on that, but it's another semi-open-ended type of PC game so not sure if/when I'll "finish" that.
Put me down for Lords of the Fallen (Multi), please!
Let's go with Prof Layton and the Azran Legacy (3DS), Picross e5 (3DS), Hexcells (PC/Mac), and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (Multi). Time to clear off my plate!
Put me down for Mad Max (Multi). Gonna get serious about this pile thing. Thanks.
Wasn't The Witness just released, DamnableBear? game has to be at least three months old to be Pile eligible in this thread.
Please carry over Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) for me and add Last of Us (PS3). Thanks!
Eleima - Oh yeah, rules. I haven't done this for a while Removing that then!
I must be really into RPG's or really masochistic because this month I'll be taking on Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (Multi).
King's Quest (PC, multi?). Started it last weekend, but didn't finish. Surely I can polish that off one night this week and maybe start on something else.
Gaming has been rather scattered lately, so I'm not sure what else I'm going to play, but I'm at least doing Lords of the Fallen (multi) for Sally's Game Club.
Is Batman: Arkham Knight (Multi) eligible yet? If so, please put me down for that, as well.
Going to try to finish Kotor (PC)this month. Should be doable if I can just get focused!
Is Batman: Arkham Knight (Multi) eligible yet? If so, please put me down for that, as well.
That was June. Which is, like, years ago.

For some reason I have had it in my head that the cutoff is nine months. Ancient history in gaming terms.
Plan for this month:
- Beat Yakuza (multi)
- Beat Tearaway (Vita)
- Beat Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China (multi) -> This one is on the verge of being dropped, I'm not enjoying it very much. I may give it another hour or so.
Seeing as I only manged to complete about half of the games I declared, the two remaining picks will be carried over and one more title will be added for good measure.
The Witcher 2 (multi)
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment (multi)
A Boy and His Blob (multi) - it'll be the Wii version for me, though.
I feel confident I will complete at least two of these.
Put me down for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (Steam/Multi).
Put me down for SOMA and Shovel Knight!
I'm hoping my current TV addictions will help inspire me to finish the following:
Assassins Creed 4 - in honor of my Black Sails obsession.
Pillars of Eternity - the Shannara Chronicles have got me back in the mood for high fantasy
EU 4 - Nothing like a historical mini-series like War and Peace to motivate me to play a hardcore strategy simulation. Will count as "beaten" when I finish my Russian campaign one way or another.
You can put me down for Bioshock2 on PC, Super Metroid on Virtual Console and Yoshi's Wooly World - WiiU (that's old enough now, I think?)
Please add Costume Quest 2 (multi) to my picks, Hemi! I picked it up again last night and realized I'm in the latter sections of the game, so it should fall quickly to my gaming might (or something).
I'm apparently close to the end of Portal - PC. Let's do that too.
I'm going to stick a fork in Fallout 4 this month, but I'll probably be too busy with XCOM 2 to get much else off the backlog.
Done with Hexcells!
Got 5 of the 7 star pieces already, so I think beating Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES/multi) this month is realistic
I'll try to knock off Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis/multi) and MDK (PC/multi) as well.
Okay, I'm digging deep into the strategy pile and going straight for the oldest title. Kohan II Kings of War (PC) is my choice for the beginning of the month.
Costume Quest 2 has been conquered!
Liked it a bit better than the first, which I'd like plenty. The solar system costume and the ghost costume are really great visually, and the clown was possibly my favorite over all.
Loved the little easter eggs like
the bee and puppy cat cardboard stand-ins found in the future cardboard town
Let's see if I can keep the rhythm going and pick off one more before I get back to work next week.
EDIT: You know how we sometimes make plans and then throw them to the wind? Well I just beat an undeclared Infamous: First Light (PS4). I didn't realize I was this close to the end. That's two games beaten on the same day. Can't remember the last time I did that.

Ever played Kohan II? I enjoyed it quite a bit!
I managed to see the end of that as well as the original, Immortal Sovereign, but never managed to beat Kohan: Ahriman's Gift.
