Did a search but didn't see a catch all for this yet. Since there was new cinematic posted at The Game Awards I thought we should make a thread!

E3 2015 Press Conference Demo

I will be picking it up because the games are great fun but I wish they would focus more on exploration/puzzles than fighting. The games kill so many bad guys that I kind of find it disgusting after a point. He kills literally hundreds of people. Sure they are bad but somehow the scale of it kind of upsets me.

I love the way in the E3 press demo it just a cool chase. No huge body count.

I will be interested in playing this and then playing Tomb Raider (I don't have an Xbone). With the closeness of release between Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbone and Uncharted 4, I doubt there are many large design influences, and I think it will be an interesting perception shift from the myriad people who will experience the games the other way.

Spoiler:

Yes, I said Xbone.

New trailer - spoilers so don't watch if you don't want to know about the story, but whoo! Can't wait.

Pumped. And it's closer than I realized.

That looks incredibly good. I think I'm going on blackout until release starting now. Day 1 Perch.

Same here.

Delayed to May 10th.

Edit: Also, how in the hell can you look at Nathan Drake's face and conclude Mark Wahlberg's the best actor to portray him? That's like looking at Link's face and saying, "I got just the guy for this job! Jason Statham!"

The same way you can look at Jennifer Lawrence and conclude "This is the perfect actress to portray this character I have who is harried, defeated, hardened, and a mother of three in her late 30s!": Be David O. Russell.

Most anticipated game of the last few years. Ever since Uncharted 2 through to The Last Of Us they have given us epic games with superb settings & fantastic characters, culminating in one of the best games ever made with TLOU.

I have high hopes this will be better on every level especially the already solid combat which looks to be took to the next level with perhaps a bit of MGS influence in the different alert phases of enemies, how they can lose you after spotting you & the general design of the levels that these encounters take place in seems leagues ahead of any of their previous entries.

Making the climbing more fluid & fast was a really smart touch for the flow of combat as it looks to transition from ground, to cover, to sliding down mud trails on mountains, to using the grappling hook to get to vantage points on different levels into climbing the side of rock faces seamlessly.

The multi-player I will be looking into this weekend with the open beta, the other games were great though, we lost hundreds of hours in those.

On top of all that the engine & capability of their tech is just unbelievable, this games looks like it would cripple the PS3 & isn't the half leap that a lot of other current gen only games seem to be. Drake sliding through that mud in that chase scene.....holy Zeus!!

That's the only Zelda movie I'd watch.

I've really enjoyed the multiplayer beta. I can see myself having the multiplayer on the back burner when I feel like a few undemanding rounds of running around and shooting folks.

Once upon a time, UC4 was a day one purchase for me. Then the TLoU directors took over. Now it's a maybe-to-pass. I'll wait for reviews from those I trust, but I'm not getting my hopes up, either, especially not with the trailers they've released so far.

The multiplayer is world class, the movement is so much more fluid, climbing especially. Love the side kicks, it feels like much more is happening & you can really change your play style with the loadouts. The support class with the health grenades is a super little touch.

The downed state taken from The Last Of Us makes things even more tactical in that if you don't get KO'd it doesn't go towards the other teams kills so you can crawl behind cover or towards team mates hoping you'll get revived. The health grenades reviving team mates also means you can stay behind cover chuck a healing grenade & 4-5 secs later after their little bar fills up they are back in action.

Out of the 3 maps I think the town one is my favourite. They are so well designed, grappling hook points, areas you can slide down, treasure that gives you funds for your own personal store to upgrade your gear, buy sidekicks etc.

Can't wait to see the full array of maps in the full game. I personally think the campaign is gonna be brilliant based on the gameplay improvements alone.

I thought the mysticals and sidekicks would turn the multiplayer into mindless mayhem but they fit well into the matches. I can see learning to use both tactically.

I loved 'The Last Of Us' and I thought the combat sequence on the 'pirate island' from Uncharted 4 looked up my alley. I'm looking forward to the singleplayer.

The multiplayer looked good. It's definitely still Uncharted in that regard. It has undergone refinements rather than sweeping changes. The shooting and the traversal were very familiar upon viewing, which is a good thing because the previous two games were excellent in those departments. I still had no urge to join in, though.

I should pre order it. I'm looking forward to see how they close out Nathan Drake's story. I'm not as interested in multiplayer exploits these days. Less time. Less tolerance for immature goofing around on comms. I've already passed on Rainbow Six: Siege, and The Division. If Uncharted cannot pull me back in then all hope is lost.

Uncharted 3 was such a disappointment for me that I'll be waiting for reviews/player impressions before deciding to get it right away or not. The changes in the dev team don't inspire confidence either. I of course WANT it to be the epitome of the series so it goes out on a high note, but... I worry.

The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

* I actually only watched 30 seconds or so because while it doesn't spoil the story it is just something I want to experience myself. *

Uncharted 4 shines by making time for the quiet moments

Hands-on with a peaceful journey across the plains of Madagascar

I've read a few previews which sound extremely promising but I definitely can't watch another video as I think I've spoiled far too many locations for myself already. I couldn't take my eyes of the trailer they showed before Batman vs Superman, it was masterfully done.

Sadly, I'm with beanman101283 on this.

I skipped Uncharted: Drake's Fortune as the reviews at the time suggested that it was a valiant effort that just missed the mark. However, I dived in on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and was rewarded with a magnificent game: great characters; superb set pieces; and a story line that ended up in a place that was a delicious as it was ludicrous.

But Uncharted 3 was a real step backwards for me. Simply not as a good as its predecessor in any department.

As I understand it from interviews and previews, Naughty Dog are applying some of the character and story lessons from 'The Last of Us' to 'Uncharted 4', so it should be an emotionally engaging experience. But I am concerned about the gameplay (more 'fluid' climbing isn't enough for me, I'm afraid) and some of the narrative fundamentals (where had this brother suddenly come from after 3 previous stories).

Naughty Dog were top of the class at the release of Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us. Uncharted 3 was a good game, but it was the third in the series and it felt like it, as much as I enjoyed it. This worries me a little as we move into a fourth, and final chapter. It deserves to go out on a high.

I still have not pre-ordered. I'm not even sure if it's a day one purchase. I've avoided previews to keep spoilers at bay, but it's also put a roadblock on my awareness of gameplay alterations.

My fear is that Naughty Dog have spread themselves a little thin since Uncharted 2. There was 'Uncharted 3', 'The Last of Us' (plus its DLC and re-mastered version), and then 'The Nathan Drake Collection'. That's a lot of content.

Also, they lost some key personnel a couple of years ago...

I think From Software offers interesting parallels here. Dark Souls II was their 3rd in the series, and it too really felt like it. Bloodborne was a welcome tack in a slightly new direction, but one that may have stretched the studio too far. A recent Edge review (I think) talked about the very recognisable re-use of assets in Dark Souls III.

Of course, one advantage for From Software is that the Souls series is pretty much pure gameplay. They don't have to carry the weight of expectation about character and story...

Review embargo must have been lifted. I have seen them on Eurogamer, Polygon, Destructoid, and IGN (which is about the list of places I know still doing much reviewing)

I haven't read them because I decided I wanted to enjoy it spoiler free, but you are all welcome to check them out if you want.

I'm waiting for a price drop. I refuse to spend almost 90 dollars on a new game anymore, can't wait though. Good thing I still have UC3 to finish.

I'm not reading any of those reviews, but glad to see the game is getting 9s and 10s across the board. I'm very eagerly anticipating playing it next week.

I am just not sure if it is April 1st or not

You can play the whole of Uncharted 4 with cel-shading

Dammit, I'm so tempted to put everything aside and dive into this like I did with Dark Souls 3, but no! I must persevere with my Pile titles! I'm sorry Drake & the Gang, you guys have to wait a couple months!

The cel shading and the "thief vision" sound like good usability modes. Making things pop out more can help colorblind people.

The rest just sounds like fun

Glad to see the strong reviews, ordered from thegamecollection.net @ £41.75, they are usually excellent for shipping early. I actually got Arkham Knight about 4-5 days early from them at launch.

Might have sold me a copy in a month or so if I can swing a ps4.
