Yeah I do my first two daily pvp fights with levels 1s so it'll get it over faster. I bet this person forgot to do their third with their regular team.

Did you know you can just enter PvP, then click the top left corner gear icon, then retreat?

It'll still count as you finish the battle.

I just want to say thanks to everyone in the guild. Finishing third in the raid today made me realize how far ive come in this game since i joined this guild. I had only 1 seven star now i have a decent amount and have become semi competitive in areana and its all thanks to everyone here. You guys are all great and im glad you accepted me when you did.

Glad to have you here and glad you're enjoying it =)

Further raid talk. This guy made a raid readiness program to see where you can improve with some proven raid teams. It's even broken down by phase.

Ok, so new AAT raid tomorrow (don't worry, still 6*). We're going to do things a little differently to see how close we are to doing heroic.

Please use 1 team only during phases 1-3 and if it hits the time limit and characters refresh don't use the same characters multiple times. In phase 4 it's a FFA but again, don't use characters you used elsewhere.

I'm not concerned if this takes us 4 days instead of 2. My concern is that we stick to these rules and we learn where we need to bolster our rosters to do this. We can afford to take a couple of extra days with this just to see where we're at.

Also please limit yourself to 7* characters only as that's what will be eligible when we do heroic again.

Post if you have any questions.

And yes, if we stall out on P1, I'll loosen the rules.

Thanks all.

! Mind Blown.

AAT Raid readiness post ...etc

It looks like my biggest bottleneck would be P1. My Jedi is pretty far from ready. JKA needs another week to 7*; Yoda won't be 7* until the next time event's returned; IGD is still at 5* but I suppose It's not hard to star up since we're earning quite a bit of guild currencies.

My Wiggs team perform pretty well in P2/P4; pair with other droid users we should blow through these two phases pretty quickly.

Full jawa team does okay on P3. I've seen alternatives to Chirpatine with Teebo, EP, 3x Tanks so I might be able to run that too.

Hope I can get some time tomorrow during work break and check how I'm doing

Just getting back to playing after a month or so off. So how is everyone handling ships? Is it a serious part of the game or just more daily items to complete?

I'm honestly just using it to get the pilot's shards. Gets me Asohka and Boba shards.

I was just using it for Vader and SF shards (and now Vader is done) until I realized that one of the ship challenges gets you a chance at Zetas.

So now I'm rushing as many DS ships as I can to level up tarkin's ship (which is required for that challenge).

I HATE falling behind and because I can't stand the tournaments I have essentially none of the new meta characters so it kind of feels like getting a zeta vader or gqj is the only way to catch up.

Also Tie Fighter Pilot rocks, I highly recommend him.

Just so I'm clear, Zeta is upgrading your character abilities a bit further to level...8? What's the max level for those abilities?

Edit: Also, gear score X(10) is the max right now, right?

some characters can have abilities to level 8 via Zeta; contrary to the omega upgrade.
e.g: QGJ's basic Lvl 8 requires Omega; QGJ's leader Lvl 8 requires Zeta.

I believe most toons can go up to Gear XI (11). You'll most likely need the AAT raid gear though (which I buy via shipment usually :P)

AAT Raid readiness post

That's handy. Is there something out there that will help me reorganize my mods? Because my reluctance to slog through that is what's keeping me down at the moment. Ima-Gun, Yoda, Ahsoka, B2, Ugnaught, etc., all still unmodded.

Not that I know of. After every credit heist I'm tempted to pull off EVERYTHING and make a spreadsheet.

I'm now level 42 and was able to defeat my first 2 Galactic Wars, which is surprising because I really only have one decent team. On the 11th node I sent in my underequipped and underskilled B-team to do some damage to make it easier for the A-team, and that's worked out both times. However, that last one was close - literally 1 lucky miss on the enemy's part was the difference.

I was wondering about retreats - If I lose someone that is replaceable, can I retreat and replace that character? On the last battle I could have probably won it much easier if that's the case. Or does the entire enemy team reset to its starting state, with defeated enemies revived?

Entire fight goes back to starting state when you retreat.

If you don't like the opening moves, retreat and shuffle your roster. If you don't shuffle your roster, the next fight will generate from the same seed (that is, if Han misses your first shot on Vader, the next time you go in Han'll shoot at Greedo and that will miss as well. Your seed has the first shot missing unless you shuffle your roster and change it).

Other than that, nodes 1-5 tend to be pretty easy. How I've managed to complete all my GW runs but a handful for a year now is to run your A team on node 1. They'll keep their speed bars for the next fight which puts them at a significant advantage. Then run your B team and do the same thing or run them as far as you can.

Then, if you're in a tight spot, you have your A team ready to go that's already front-loaded with speed so they'll get the first shots off.

I load my A team on 1 and run it so STH has the first move). Then run a B team on 2, a C team on 3, and then go back to my A team but sub in raid Han for STH and run them as far as I can under Wedge so they heal. I pull out STH if I need a tank. Because I have 15 characters front-loaded with turn meter, I can sub in guys I haven't used and mix and match because I have that buffer. The teams I load aren't necessarily the teams I run to burn down the near-impossible nodes 11 and 12s I'm dealing with, I need to cobble something together from their parts to succeed. Honestly, GW is more fun right now that ever for me despite how frustrating some of these teams are. 7* General Kenobi, f*ck right off.

Granted, you don't have the roster for this but the principle remains the same if you have 10 characters or 100.

I remember swgoh.gg does this for you. You can see the mods you have equipped on all characters. It does not contain mods that have never been equipped though. (e.g Mod A was equipped on Aayla but taken off, it'll be in the database. Mod B has never been put onto any character, it won't be in the database)

Here's an example:
https://swgoh.gg/u/lucci/mods/

It has some pretty handy filter options. You still need to do most of the hands-on work of logging them onto a spreadsheet though.

Oh and it also requires you to register with swgoh.gg
It's a handy and clean website though, I've enjoyed using it so far.

Adding onto what OP said, a neat trick when you're attempting a harder opponents, and not sure if you can retreat in time, is to

Enter the battle --> Turn on airplane mode --> continue the battle

If you lost the fight and wish to restart, just force close the app, turn off airplane mode, rinse and repeat

This trick also work with raid btw. Your damage (or fight result) won't be uploaded until the connection is restored, and force-closing the app will cause those data to be lost, resulting as if the fight never happened.

Well crap, no one told me about the Samsung card pack! If you log in from a Samsung device - or make it appear that you do - you get a free 3* IG-88, 1* IG-86, 500 crystals and some shards, including 5 Darth Vader. If I knew about that a few days ago I could already have a decent droid team running, lol.

What a cool site! I signed up: https://swgoh.gg/u/doogiemac/collect...

I'm close to Vader *7 so having him available another way is welcome. I also don't have any zeta's i'll have to look into the upgrades they offer. I still use QGJ in my arena team and almost everywhere else. Who do you consider the meta characters at the moment? Still Lando, Anakin? Is Bobba in the mix?

The meta has expanded a bit in PvP. Lando is kind of on the outs since it's really easy to shut him down.

Empire teams are viable with palp and tfp. I'm actually back in the top 10 with Boba (L), Wiggs, TFP, and JKA.

Chaze is absolute madness. The only real counter is Empire or B2 or SF and even then you need huge damage to burn him down. Another few tournaments for them and the top 20 of every shard is likely to be nothing but those guys.

General Kenobi is awesome.

Vader zeta on leader is outstanding.

Boba is in the mix since he turns buffs/debuffs into extra damage, can ability lock, and most of the time ignore taunts to kill that palp that's about to stun your team.

Once I can get them up and zeta vader, I'm hoping to run Vader (L), Palp, TFP, B2 or SF, and Boba but time will tell, they all need a gear level at least right now.

After being absolutely routed by a team with TFP, I've been leveling that toon up.

Edit - duplicate post

Level 48 now after dipping my toes into the game, with a random guild and casually collecting characters purely out of fanservice than dedication to any meta.

But that said, I do want to achieve better than my current Arena rank of around 700. I am a pure F2P player. Would love some feedback on what to work towards in spending my daily rewards.

I think I need more healers and tanks.

Currently my roster looks like:

Rebels
Luke
Scarif Rebel Pathfinder
ST Han

Resistance
Finn
Resistance Pilot
Poe (five shards away)

Jedi
Mace
Jedi Consular
Plo Koon
Jedi Knight Guardian

Empire
Grand Moff Tarkin
Royal Guard
TIE Fighter Pilot
Snowtrooper

Other Light side
Clone Wars Chewwy
Ewok Elder
Ewok Scout
Clone Sergeant

Other Dark side
Captain Phasma
IG-100 MagnaGuard
Genosian Soldier

I answered a question you didn't ask, sorry! lol

You're at a point where I think you should commit on a specific team so you can take advantage of the leadership synergies. Understand the the pvp meta does change so if you see everyone is using a rebel team with lando/biggs/wedge, that by the time you get there with a solid team there is sure to be some other new hot team that dominates. The ideal team would be one where each of the different mission types within the game would give you a different possible character to recruit. For example, I worked on Jedi for the longest time(still am to some degree) and I was eanring Mace from pvp, qui gon from cantina, luminara from galactic war and so on.

Scoundrel is a good team to focus on simply because they also have credit heist and droid heist events they can participate in. Lando from Cantina battles, Boba from Cantina shards, ST Han/Greedo from PVP shard and Cad Bane from GW shard. You can also get boba shards from the fleet vendor.

At least this is my understanding of things, if anyone else has suggestions or corrections then let us know!

Shifter wrote:

My shard's composition also exploded after the rise of TFP and Boba (in a good way). I have to change up my team a lot fighting each opponents, and everybody in the Top20 is able to beat one another. Quite exciting I must say.

My only unmoved roster is Wiggs. Then usually 1 - 2 Tanks consist of ShoreT and/or STHan. Then an additional threat of Lando/EP, round it up with Utility toon B2/QGJ

So for this morning I used 4 different teams in 5 fights
- Wiggs + Lando + ShT + STH (against other Wiggsdo)
- Wiggs + ShT + STH + B2 (against droids)
- Wiggs + EP + ShT + B2 (against Chaze/ShT)
- Wiggs + EP + ShT + STH (against empire team without ShT)

My Anakin is almost 7* too so I might sub him in here and there. Then going to star up TFP while gearing Boba.

team comp

I think w00t gave a pretty good analysis on progression. This game is a lot about synergy and objective planning.

Do know that there's no "right way" to play the game as long as you enjoy it, but one needs to make peace with how meta team dictates PvP. And PvP has a snowball effect on your progress.

So with that out of the way, following opinions are based my experience.

1. Resistance: Poe and Finn are getting a nice synergy, but resistance team suffers from a lack of toons. You'll need Rey, and Resistance trooper is hard to farm. Resistance pilot is.. better now that there's ships. I think in a month or so we'll see if they can join the meta but for now I won't heavily invest onto them.

2. Scoundreals: seriously. it'll help you immensely. I think you need at least 3 scoundreals to participate in the lowest tier of event, so go get another one ! I'd suggest Boba (Cantina) or Cad (GW) so to not heavily conflict your other resource.

3. Tank: You're fine with RG and STH. They'll do you good until really high level

4. Healer: Lumi is good. Jedi Consular is... okay. Do know that once you get into Lvl 70's range, healer falls off really hard due to protection taking precedence. I'd focus on one healer and not more.

5. GW: how are you doing in GW? it's one of the most important resource node of the game.

6. PvP: without knowing the status of your team and purely looking at synergy, I'd suggest the following:

Phasma (L), TFP, RG, GS, Consular

Phasma is a great lead before end-game. RG's auto taunt will save you. Both Phas and RG have debuffs that help TFP going faster and faster. GS is also a naturally fast toon. Consular to round it up for healing.

You know what annoys me in GW? Running into a Sidious with my Jedi team, or running into Emporer Palp as pretty much anyone. I'm lucky to get 400 currency a day when those pop up.
