NFL 2015: Week 11

That really sucks for Baltimore to lose their QB and RB on the same day.

This has been year of the injuries for us.

TIL: Washington has a JV team, and they brought it to Charlotte today.

Yeah, but DC scored *14* points.

On a bad coverage and a kick return. Washington's offense was LOL funnier than most sitcoms.

WTF Aaron Rodgers just got pushed down and they called it roughing the passer.. lol

Refs seemed determined to let GB score on that drive.

I have tix for TB vs. Panthers last game of the season. I would love for the Panthers to be undefeated going into that game

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Jameis Winston. Aka "JaMarcus Russell 2". AKA Byron Leftwich. Aka Ryan Leaf.

Scrub.

SF Defense is really really really bad.

Chiefs rolling. The defense is darn near as dominating as it was last week over a finished Peyton Manning. And apparently every RB they have is pretty great.

In other news, I finally buy into Minnesota's surge and Green Bay's demise this week.

Somebody from the Vikings must have banged Joe Buck's mom or something. He's super bummed when something doesn't go right for the Packers and ecstatic when it does. Maybe he just never got over being traumatized by Randy Moss pretending to moon the crowd at Lambeau.

Or that the Vikings kinda look like crap.

Aided by the refs, of course.

Then why was he raving about Bridgewater?

I'm not a fan of either of these teams and have been actively rooting against the Vikings since they brought back Peterson.

You're not a sports fan? It's still selective hearing. Or just a different reality.

And the Vikings are still sucking.

Sadly.

Yeah, I assumed he missed hearing Buck slobber all over Bridgewater. My bad.

#Buckhatersunite

He does look like a hobo.

I wouldn't be surprised if he lost a bet to Paul Rudd.

Wow, is that necessary?

Prime Time Bungles.

Not a bad game tying drive for prime time Andy there.

Looks like Arizona will have a chance to win here though after a stupid penalty by Cincy.

That loss isn't on Dalton; it was two really good teams who were evenly matched, and Arizona just made a phenomenal drive at the end to win it. Great game. Presuming the Bucs aren't contenders (which is totally a safe bet) and neither Minnesota nor Green Bay are in it (regional rooting loyalties), I'm really liking that Arizona team and officially hitching myself to their bandwagon.

Me too. They had to have a lot go right for them this season to continue to outperform expectations and they're doing it again. As long as Carson Palmer is in there they have a chance. He's the top choice for MVP at this point.

Someone did a study on racism in the NFL as it relates to QBs:

This study examines data from the 2001 to 2009 National Football League (NFL) seasons to determine whether Black quarterbacks face discrimination. When controlling for injury, age, experience, performance, team investment, backup quality, and bye weeks, Black quarterbacks are found to be 1.98–2.46 times more likely to be benched. Marginal evidence is also found that Black quarterbacks face less discrimination in areas with a larger percentage of Black residents. Additionally, it has been observed that when White quarterbacks are benched, the team improves by more than when Black quarterbacks are benched. This provides evidence that there is a cost to this discrimination.

After Cam and/or Brady, that is!

Spoiler:

Honestly, Palmer needs to be in the conversation. He's having a great year, and the Cards will be a really tough out this year for whoever plays them. At this rate, ARI might end up facing Carolina and NE.

I'll be honest, Cam has a tough road ahead stats-wise. That's my fear of the people who vote on this stuff and not an indictment of his play. Of course I also though Aaron Donald wouldn't get the DROY win last year based on the position he plays. (What I didn't know was he was a top ten player in the league and that was apparent last year.)

Brady is boring as hell a la Manning getting another MVP. It's about as default as can be, which is why I'm now rooting for Palmer. Shoot, Palmer is completing 64% of his passes and he's throwing the ball way farther than anyone else.

At this point, though, I'm beginning to feel like it's gonna be whatever QB manages to play all 16 games this year as they keep dropping like flies. In a just world, Tony Romo would have my MVP vote.

Pretty sure that Steve Bischotti must have firebombed a mirror factory and run over a parade of old gypsy women with his limo in the off season.

I agree with you on Cam and stats. It's weird to hear so many people make the STATS DON'T MATTER argument with Cam. (Number do matter. A lot.)

That said, if you said that a team is 9-1* with a QB who's completing less than 60 percent of its throws, you'd think the NFL has gone nuts. Which it has, I think.

Cam Newton is having an amazing year.

Tom Brady is having one of his most elite seasons ever at 38.

But right now, Carson Palmer is the flat-out best QB in the NFL.

Also he was born in Fresno.

Arizona reminds me of '99 and the St. Louis Rams.. lots of speed at WR and Palmer just chucking it up.
