NFL 2015: Week 8

The most interesting part of that article is the bit about Pagano not wanting Pep Hamilton hired.

I've been suspicious about Pep Hamilton's standing with the team, given how they kept Chudzinski away from OC jobs elsewhere (like San Francisco where he could have fixed everything and Kaepernick would be good again - or, you know, at least not have the offense collapse beyond reason like Geep Chryst). Sounds like Pagano wanted Chud from the beginning, and allowing him to hire Chud as an "associate head coach" was a move to placate Pagano.

Hopefully the whole thing blows up, Indy's AFC South dominance ends, and Chud goes to San Francisco a year late and fixes everything and Kaepernick is good again... or Goff.

Listen, I may know a little something about quarterback fanboi delusions, so . . .

Wait, you think Kaepernick is going to be in SF next year? After being benched for Blane Bortl . . . sorry, Blaine Gabbert?

IF CHUD COMES AND FIXES HIM

Kaepernick probably is on the roster in 2016, barring someone coming with a trade. Most likely, the Gabbert era is short lived, Kaepernick closes out the year as the starter, and if they do draft a QB, they don't start him week 1 2016. Kap's cap number doesn't climb into the $19m+ range until 2017.

Draft day trade is probably the second most likely option, provided the trade either facilitates them taking a QB, or happens after they've already secured their QB pick.

I'm trying to figure out how Legion's thinking that the Texans, Jags, or Titans can stop being gigantic tire fires long enough to beat the Colts. And it's not like there's that far to go... They just need to upgrade themselves to roaring dumpster fires.

I just can't see it happening. The Colts are incredibly just below average. That's what everyone else in the division is striving for.

I want a gigantic dumpster fire to roaring dumpster fire gif.

BORTLESMANIA, Super Mariota, and... well, 2 out of 3!

These teams still have quite a ways to go, but having QBs that look like guys they can build around, for the first time since, well, Brunell and McNair, is big.

Which is the exact same line that was said about the Colts and Luck before this season...

Though, to be fair, it was usually followed by "And it'd be nice if the Colts got an actual offensive line to protect him..."

Chud did great work in Carolina. He was Cam's first OC and did a pretty good job building an offense (Carolina went from last to fourth, I think, in one season) around a QB who was bigger than most linebackers (and threw like one), 18 running backs and a cranky midget WR who, for every 5,000 receiving yards, punches out a teammate, sort of like changing your oil.

Hell, because Chud was able to rid Charlotte of the stench of Jimmy Clausen and Brian St. Pierre, just think of what he could do in SF. Of course, none of the Panthers' QBs were legally blind ...

And that line should be true. If Grigson could draft, and not throw away valuable picks, the team could and should be being built up around Luck.

Trading away picks + bad selections on the ones you have left = no building.

So Kapernick wasn't acting in the Madden trailer?

Riiiiiight. In a year or two when I'm constantly posting Fat Kaepernick pictures, the circle will finally be complete.

I think you need to start posting Hairy QB pics. You'd have Kaep (terrible), Luck (hurt and terrible), Fitzmagic (just hurt).

Hell, that could be Legion's theme for the week 9 thread. #hinthint

You just wait until Cam hits a rough patch.

Come to think of it, has he ever had a beard?

My eyes!!!!

Ray Lewis posts videos on Wednesdays called Wisdom Wednesday. People seem to love his inspirational stuff, but I think he mostly makes no sense.

Like this: https://www.facebook.com/officialray...

Does he talk about how to get tough stains out?

Because that's the first thing I think of each time he does his inspirational BS.

He has said a lot of dumb stuff on ESPN. I'm amazed he still has a job.

I hope one of the entries is how to commit murder and get away with it.

What was that?

Oh.... It was some guy full of hubris spitting out gibberish. I like it!

Lions fire G.M. Martin Mayhew, President Tom Lewand

Should be Indy...

Of course not, it's advice on what is and isn't appropriate attire when going out on a murdering night.

Caldwell keeps his job; are they scared to wake him?
