Angels Fall First Catch-all

Angels Fall First has dropped on Steam Early Access. Is anyone playing this?

It's kind of like Battlefield in space. You can play as a soldier, pilot, tanker, or commander. Both the soldiers and vehicles can modify loadout, choosing from a huge variety of sci-fi weapons. You can battle in space, flying everything from a tiny fighter to a massive capital ship. You can fly in a dropship and board enemy ships and capture them. If the your cap ship takes fire, it will start to burn and explode on the inside. The game can be played full multiplayer, coop vs. bots, or single player vs. bots, like BF2.

It's still early access, so there are some glitches and bugs, but it's amazing how much is playable and fun. The world is well-realized and comprehensive. I remember first hearing about this in the Make Something Unreal contest many years ago, and loved the concept, but had no idea it was still going. I picked it up immediately and have been having a blast with it.

Extended gameplay video.

I was looking at the store page for this one earlier today, it seems rather ambitious. Does it actually do everything it claims? UI and optimization problems are the common complaint on the reviews.

I've got it flagged to follow for now, personally I've got too many Early Access games already, need to stop adding to that pile.

Did you watch the video? It shows you the UI as well as all the different gameplay things you can do. They've pretty much covered everything.

This thread is more then a little out of date, is anyone still playing this? I'm looking at it and in it's current state it sounds pretty enticing. However, I suspect it would be at it's best with a group of GWJers doing a weekly game of some sort. Anyone have thoughts on the current state of the game?

It has fantastic bots, and just had a pretty big update with more commander abilities. I reinstalled it and keep meaning to dive in but haven't had the time.
