So now I have a dilemma where there anything with 3 votes and above comes out to 52 total votes. The bingo balls only go up to 50 - how do I manage this? I could clip it at 4 votes and above, but that would drastically reduce the selection.

You could go for a "kids table" drawing, because that always works well :)

pls to explain kind sir

I was making a dumb joke about how the Republican debates are being handled. Sorry

But if you wanted to... run two drawings. One for the main game (4 or more votes) and then a second drawing for everything else as the unnecessary and underperforming "junior varsity" option. But don't call it the "gaiden" option since we already have a thread for that. Maybe "super deformed"?

Or put everything with 3 votes in and draw two to exclude from the real draw.

I didn't think Xenoblade Chronicles X was old enough to count. I figured this was all about backlog games. There's a healthy thread going for everybody actively playing it already... I don't see much point in splitting it? I'd suggest discounting it from the running. But I mean, if you DID count it, then I totally vote for it, since I'm going to be playing it the next few months no matter what.

I'd also voted for Tales Of Xillia 2 and Final Fantasy X-2 in an earlier post.

I mean, I guess backlog or not, it's going into the library of a lot of JRPG fans, myself included. Since the gaiden thread exists, I guess I'm not so worried about having the game specifically be a backlog game.

Kudos to Wembley for the idea of removing a couple of the other 3-vote titles too. I think that's gonna be a good start, and will help cement this in.

Since I completely failed at finishing the last one (Too many games!!!), I'm not gonna vote. That said... I am knee deep in Xenoblade Chronicles X right now.

So what you're saying is....

brokenclavicle already submitted 5 votes, and then XC-X, but I assume he's willing to drop one of those for XC-X, and I assume that I'm right about that. So, I'll bump XC-X to 4 votes, and that will be the cutoff.

Absolutely! I forget which ones I posted before, but any one of them can be dropped in favor of the new Xeno!

How would people feel if I just did the drawing with no video? How important is the video to this? Last time I had about 3 people join to watch. Plus, I'm already naked in front of my computer, so there's that. Unless that's something you all want to look at. In which case, I may charge for said video.

Also, I'm an idiot. This thing has more than 50 balls. So, I'm counting all the 3-vote choices.

Here are the choices and their corresponding numbers. Clavicle, I dropped Child of Light for you in favor of XCX since you agreed about the monthly club for COL.

Final Fantasy X-2 (6) 1-6
Resonance of Fate (5) 7-11
NIER (5) 12-16
Suikoden (5) - 17-21
Etrian Odyssey / Untold (4) - 22-25
Child of Light (4) - 26-29
Tales of Xillia (4) - 30-33
Final Fantasy X (3) - 34-36
Persona Q (3) - 37-39
Xenoblade Chronicles (3) - 40-42
Atelier Totori (3) - 43-45
Suikoden II (3) - 46-48
Xenoblade Chronicles X (3) - 49-51

I think you can be trusted to do this. I wanted to watch the video last time but wasn't home at the time. It's a lot of work though, i'm sure. The outcome of the choice (tm) is all that really matters.

DB - pull the balls.

Huh if FF X-2 wins, I'll still have to play X first... well, cross that bridge if it happens.

A normal Friday night, then...

Spoiler:

Atelier Totori is the winner!

Twist ending!

Noooooo hehehehe. Guess I'll be watching from the side-lines. Can't justify another purchase at this point for the 1Q club, sadly, so I will be dropping in now and then to see how the convo goes with Atelier.

Is that video working for anyone else? It's coming up as private for me, even if I'm signed in to YouTube

Either way, I'm happily surprised by the result! Although I'll admit I fired up X-2 last night in anticipation that it was going to be the one to come up. I apparently never have even started that one before--holy crap what an intro.

I've wanted to try an Atelier game for a while since it's obviously up my alley but I'm not sure I should get into this with so many other things on my pile to play, like Persona 3

Should be fixed, video was private. Sorry!

Don't forget that the Gaiden pick for Q1 is The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on PSP and PC!

Hey, that's a great game! I stalled halfway through a 2nd playthrough due to other life reasons, but I was really enjoying it. Not your typical JRPG, for sure.

Yay! I already own this one, so that's one less excuse for me

I own this game! I don't own a platform to play it on!

Don't own The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, either. I guess I shall dry my tears in Xenoblade

I watched it after the fact, does that count?

This is why you strategically place a picture of Chrono in the video. Or holiday balls.

I'm in the same boat but I do own Trails in the Sky so I'll give the Gaiden a shot in Q1.

Love the video of the drawing--again, great idea.

Ditto, I hit the link to the video from the thread and watch the video to see the winner before I read more of the thread.

Was a bit disappointed that -- at least for me -- there was no audio commentary stating who won, just a sort of snorting bit of laughter.

I was laughing because the camera just flat-out refused to focus no matter how close I moved the ball. Couldn't handle how futile of an effort it was, in the moment.

I'm in for this! I've already played through it when it came out, but want to see if I still like it enough to pick up Second Chapter.
