I call shenanigans. Not everyone was informed of the game

Fun games! Thanks guys

Oh man, we should probably try to schedule something.

Edit: actually were scheduled against the withdrawn team. Do we get a win be default?

Spoiler:

the two most beautiful words in the English language

Pagin pagin pagin.

I'm good for this evening, and mornings and evenings on Saturday and Sunday. Sorry for the late response. Hadn't tagged this thread. m(_ _)m

Can we shoot for Sunday night?

Can we use private messages to plan matches? These threads are kind of stealthy. Didn't even know it existed and a match got scheduled without my knowledge on the timing. The PS4 teams have been using private messaging and it works really well.

Thanks

It seems to be the way to do things Kazar. My bad on not getting on the Private Message boat for the match this week. Will rectify for the coming week.

Cool. I'll take it as a compliment that you just didn't want to face me in the match Next time!!!

Hello?

Sunday your time or mine? Sunday night your time is Monday morning on this side of the world, and a no go for me cause of work. Could you do Sunday morning?

EDIT: Sorry, should have PMd that.

No, messaging in the thread is easier because everyone can see at one time, imo.

Sunday morning would work for me, let me ping my group.

A1 2-0 over Time Bandits

So, I have a private mesage pending between Redundant Terror and PIC, but nobody else from my team has responded. (So nyah to Kazar above complaining that private messages are best.)

Anyone hear from Rocket Squares, Detroit Rocket City, Metal Gear Rockets and Time Bandits this week? We have two more matches than don't even appear to have been scheduled yet.

And 2-0 over Poor Impulse Control. Good game, guys.

In the thread, there will be 3 sets of teams coordinating at the same time. In private messaging it is limited to the two teams involved. I get an email every time I get a private message so I am kept in the loop. With the thread we have been creating a new thread for every week (something I wasn't even aware of until now). If you use the thread, you have to make sure that all 6 players are on the same page before a time is agreed upon.

Ah, that's what I meant if that is your team name

Do whatever you want, but this doesn't even make sense

My boy putting yall on notice. Read them threads.

What we should do for next time is have everyone list their Steam name and have designated captains.

Captains add each other on Steam and coordinate. If captains can't pull that off, then at least we have Steam names so other players can coordinate.

If anyone have any replays of Time Bandits vs. Metal Gear Rockets I'll pay good money if the last 10 seconds or so happens to be destroyed

Oh well, it was fun. Diablo 3 has taken hold of me the last week, so no Rocket League for a while, but I think I did better than I had feared. Especially considering those last 10 seconds did not happen.
Got to get back into this again.

Who won?

Metal Gear Rockets won 2-1 & 3-2 vs Time Bandits if I remember correctly.

I'm confused why doesn't that make sense? Are you thinking individual PMs? He's talking about PM'ing all 6 people at once so everyone sees everything. Once the message has been sent to all 6 everyone sees any replies by anyone of the 6...it basically turns into group messaging. It's way better then having to wade through sh*t in here.

This. GWJ has group, threaded PMs now. Use them.

(3-0) Rocket Squares vs (1-1) Detroit Rocket City

Detroit Rocket City 2-0 Vs Rocket Squares, Great games everyone

OP updated for Week 5.

The PS4 side is a little bit dicier, as they have an odd number of teams. We have a few options:

1. Drop the lowest ranked team (would like to avoid)
2. Top three teams get byes, but the top ranked team gets an extra bye week (would also like to avoid, as this adds an extra week)
3. Only the top team gets a bye, and they play the lowest ranked team - remaining two teams play each other. (Will probably go with this option)

I can understand not liking options 1 or 2, but I think option 3 gives too much advantage to the top ranked team. Is there a happy medium to be struck?

I think 2 is the happy medium, at the cost of an extra week - whoever gets ranked first just has to wait an extra week to be able to play.

Not playing two weeks in a row is a bummer. If I had a vote I'd vote for 1 or 3.

I think 1 is the option that has the most resemblance to real-world brackets, but I understand wanting to include everyone.

Group pm then, for the future, whenever I'm in charge of organizing our match, which is not this week.
