As seen on Reddit, Good Guy Rondon:

It is our duty as patriotic, sportsmanship-loving Americans to support Venezuela the rest of the way! :D
LOL, nice.
I'm already shocked by the sight of Venezuela winning 2 matches in the same tournament. That said, they play El Tri on Monday, so you can be damned sure I'm rooting for Venezuela.

Unlike many Americans, I don't have a hatred of El Tri, simply because I know so many Latinos here who support the U.S. as their second team, or are even torn about what team is their first.
That said, my American love of the underdog plus this great Venezuela story so far PLUS Good Guy Rondon means I'll be pulling hard for...Los Vinotintos, right?
EDIT: La Vinotinto, apparently.
I've always loved the name Vinotinto. Makes me thirsty.
I'm in NJ, where we have a very strong community of people from various countries. Many (but not all) of them root for the USA second after their ancestral teams, but at least they do root for them so I'll give them partial credit.
I actually play for a Caribbean team, most of them from Jamaica or T&T. When the USA plays one of those teams, we all just hope for a good match.
Mexico, though, is another kettle of fish just because of the fact they're our biggest rival. The USSF usually plays games against Mexico in areas where we become the visiting team in our own stadium. At least they've been good lately about hosting any WCQ games against Mexico in Columbus.
I can respect El Tri, but just can't bring myself to root for them. I'm willing to admit that I might think differently if I lived down in Houston.
Hopefully the Mexican fans still remember this:
"GOL DE ESTADOS UNIDOS! We love you, we love you forever and ever!" The rant for the next two minutes was epic.
Well , we survived a sub-par game from the center official and 30 seconds of insanity from Yedlin.
It was a very solid game from the defense, especially John Brooks.
I just wish the stupid TV crew would stop going on about being top of the group.
And don't look now, but Los Ticos are fighting hard to put us on top of the group and (presumably) keep us away from Brasil!
Avoiding Brazil (probably) is big, playing in Seattle is bigger. That place is going to be bonkers!
Gracias, Ticos!
I'm very displeased about moving into the knock-outs without our recently-established back four. Btw, today was the first time Klinsmann has started the same XI Americans three times in a row.
And don't look now, but Los Ticos are fighting hard to put us on top of the group and (presumably) keep us away from Brasil!
If Ecuador don't beat Haiti, we get the loser of Brasil/Peru. I don't think the odds of that are very high, but then again I didn't think CR would beat Colombia so what do I know.

Yeah, that.
Anyway, if Ecuador does beat Haiti, we will play them unless Brasil/Peru ends up as a draw. If that happens (and Ecuador wins), there will be a 3-way tie in that group and Brasil probably finishes top. They are +6 (because they beat Haiti 7-1) and Peru are +1. That would stay the same if they tied (duh), so it would depend upon Ecuador beating Haiti by more than 1.
In the event of teams being level on points, the tiebreakers are as follows:1) Total goal difference in the group
2) Total goals scored in the group
3) Result between the teams
4) Drawing of lots
Have they announced the time? I looked on the Copa website earlier and didn't see one listed.
The Copa website shows the Seattle match as 9:30 ET on June 16.
Unless they are playing against the US, I always want CONCACAF teams to do well.
[Belated edit: because CONCACAF does not, to the best of my knowledge, run any trams. ]

I agree, except that I would much rather play Ecuador than Brasil.
Probably, but if I'm Jurgen I don't want to give any bulletin board quotes to Ecuador. Then again, Ecuador is probably telling themselves "we'd rather play the US than Colombia".
Anyway, Ecuador 4:0 Haiti FT. I think this means that we are in fact playing Ecuador, as they are now +4.
If Brasil and Colombia tie, the tiebreakers are Brasil +6, Ecuador +4, Peru +1. Peru needs to win or go home (and they have not beaten Brasil since 1985).
Yep, we are now locked in to Ecuador, who we beat like a rented mule two weeks ago.
Spoiler:Or stole the game with a late goal, either way.
...and right now Peru is up 1:0 over Brasil after 83'.
FT 1:0, so USA v Ecuador and Colombia v Peru. Wow!
Man, rough few years to be a Brazilian.
Why did they put out the JV team?
Handball by Peru goes unseen by the refs and eliminates the Brasil B-Team! Whoa.
I didn't see the replay of that goal until this morning. Yikes that was about as blatant as they come.
Why did they put out the JV team?
The JV team was good enough to get into the second round if it weren't for that one call.
Maybe they are focusing on the olympics instead?
I cannot believe that CenturyLink isn't sold out for this game.
Is it possible to have so many players suspended that we cannot field a full starting XI?
Asking for a friend.
Going to the semi-final Fedaykin?
TONIGHT! 8pm Central! The United States of America will deny Argentina a major tournament win, setting up an amazing rematch in the final game of World Cup 2018 as Messi seeks to cement his legacy in Argentinian soccer!
It's going down in H-Town!
VAMOS VAMOS ESTADOS UNIDOS.
