Grapefruit aka Pamplemousse is the cannonical flavor, imo.

Indeed. None better.

It is just so subtle and so perfect.

The markups everywhere on these drinks is annoying.. anyone have success finding the different flavors for normal prices?

What's a normal price?

Some of these could be good...

You might have had one of those already.

Also, I got some Perrier sparkling L'Orange (had a coupon) and while it might be at/about La Croix level, it's definitely not worth 3x as much as La Croix.

The GreyMousse, right?

Yup

I don't think they're really meant to compete. I drink them both. Perrier is mineral water, and I usually drink the unflavored variety.

I'm comparing the two flavored carbonated water offerings...pretty sure they're in competition, side by side in my supermarket.

The food co-op here has started carrying Field Day brand sparkling water. I haven't done a side-by-side comparison with La Croix, but the Field Day version costs significantly less and seems almost as good.

La Croix comes in way more flavors, though. I've only seen Field Day in orange, grapefruit, and "berry".

That's some quality content. Will the bubble burst? Maybe.

boo

I remember LaCroix from my Kansas City childhood as the pastel cases of tasteless soda that my Girl Scout leader packed into her minivan for a weekend trip in the 1990s.

Yeah, I'm not on this bandwagon either.

This might be the take all quote though:

LaCroix is succeeding as methadone for the soda addict

I can totally see that.

It's actually having the opposite effect on me. I haven't drank more than... half a dozen sodas a year for 5 or 6 years now. I just don't drink it.

Yet having la croix around all the time makes me think, "you know, I could really go for something cold a bubbly, maybe I just get this soda out of this machine instead of my usual bottle of water?"

I've been resisting thus far (as 99% of soda is too sweet for me by far) but I wasn't even considering doing that before la croix.

Journalism doing its job.

I read this article and I'm still not clear on what makes La Croix special compared to other seltzers. We don't even seem to have it here in the Northeast, but it's possible I didn't notice it because we usually get Polar.

Polar is awesome BTW. La Croix doesn't seem to have orange vanilla.

And diet tastes terrible outside of Diet Dr. Pepper ... and even then. Ick. (More sodas need to be Stevia-based.)

Anyway, op, you're weird. Keep on keeping on.

THANK YOU I WILL.

Also blah @ all diet soda.

Passionfruit is the best flavor. I haven't seen it outside of Hawaii. My mom just found it. I'm happy.

I've had it here, though I've only seen it in one store in town. I agree that it's the best flavor.

Had a cola flavored La Croix for the first time today

Not bad, but I'm not sure I'd want an entire case of it. Not AS refreshing as a fruit based La Croix. Not enough cola flavor to compare to coke.
