Let's do this people.
EU in space? Yes, please.
Damn. I don't have enough free time for this.

I don't have enough free time or money! I have to save up for No Man's Sky!
CK2 in space?
"Oh great, Admiral So-And-So's been having an affair with General What's-His-Name's wife."
Excellent! I feel even better about boycotting GalCiv3 now
Obligatory

Well, given that Hearts of Iron 4 was announced in January 2014, I imagine you might have until 2017 to free up some time.
We'll be watching your career with Great Interest.
Oh my! Well I hope Steam doesn't incur any penalty for blowing it, so it will still be available there. Can't find any videos of it anywhere, but this could be a killer...
Well that was unexpected.
Looks like I'll have to book some vacation time.
I didn't even know I wanted this, but now that they've announced it, I don't know how I never managed to wish for it before!
WANT
WANT
WAAAAAAAANT

If Steam was going to put it up, it'll be much sooner I would imagine.
I need a means to stall time to give me the time to play this and all the other games... they should add that tech to the game.

True. Unless Paradox is doing Early Access, which would be surprising.
Either way, we'll find out during the Paradox Gamescom press conference tomorrow.
I... I... Oh god.
I'm in real trouble here.
Anxious to hear more.
Is it me, or is this music remarkably similar to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack (1:34)?
Humm... pretty video, but doesn't shed light on the gameplay.
But I'm super excited about this. Just the thought of elements of EU IV and CK 2 in space sounds awesome.
Big Rock Paper Shotgun overview covering gameplay
The finest summary of Stellaris’ aims came mid-way through the half hour presentation and discussion in which Fåhraeus and Johansson unveiled the game. “We’re not creating one specific universe. It can be any sci-fi universe.” Johannson was referring to the way in which the procedural galaxies are more than a collection of planets and stars. By the late game you might find that one of your science ships has become the Event Horizon, ripping a hole in reality to a dimension of horrors. Before you know it, you’re scrabbling to militarise in order to survive a fight against invaders from beyond and you’ve accidentally fallen into Warhammer 40K.

Yeah, I was pretty sure it was that too.
Well, that trailer was pretty and all, but I'm interested to actually find out something about the game.
Yeah, the CK2 style stuff is only thread in the skein of delicious ideas. This sounds AMAZING!
Steam has it listed for Feb. 16, 2016.
Happy slightly late birthday to me!
RPS preview has a fair bit of potential info about it. I wasn't super interested after the trailer, but now they've definitely got my attention.
It's up on Steam with a cool, if not informative video. Say's it's, 'coming soon'.
This might finally get me into the grand strategy genre. It looks awesome.

That's a helpful article.
Wow, this is an ambitious project. If they can pull this off, it'll be amazing. What a fresh look on the strategy genre.
I'm so in. I've been starting to get back into the big epic space opera genre recently and this is just perfect. Hopefully it will stand out from Beyond Earth, Endless Space 2 and Gal Civ3.
Okay, that RPS preview had me going from 'Oh, that should be cool' to "OMGWTF!!!11110001111SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *melt down*" very quickly.
Love this short comment thread there:
It sounds over complex and liable to turn into a gigantic mess
DudeWho GetsIt wrote:Hopefully! Really liking the sound of this so far.

Sums up people who Paradox games are for, and who they're not for quite well.
