If Charlie Hall and I ever are on the same podcast together, the audience's going to be confused as hell, since we sound EXACTLY ALIKE.
I wish you guys would stop encouraging him.

How did I live before digital distribution of old, cheap games?

What was that WWI game y'all were talking about? Google doesn't seem to be helping me out on this one. I thought someone said it was "the grizzle", but now that I'm spelling that out, it sounds ridiculous.
They are talking about The Grizzled card game.

It might be cool to get some links up to all the games discussed.

Lots of great suggestions. More games that can be played with the nine year olds on a Friday night. >^_^<
Agreed. I was listening at work and didn't write down the names.
Steam FFXIV
Nani?
I'll listen tomorrow, but those hosts had better bring up Dixit in a discussions about games to play with nine year olds or I will flip a table.
Lazy guy being lazy and not wanting to re-listen to the podcast: What was the name of the party game that up to 30 people could play?

I'm not surprised to see Mysterium selling out that quickly. It's *really* really good. Sorry you got a bum demo, Charlie!
That said, it sounds like Charlie's version of the rules is the 'official' one, per BGG:

Seems like some homebrewing of the rules to make the game more fun would be advantageous.
You bastard, Tanglebones. :)

That would be Two Rooms and a Boom.

.. and listening to that podcast episode made me go order Two Rooms and a Boom. Filthy enablers.
I don't travel with meats anymore.
My son and I enjoyed playing Codenames with you Charlie! It was an interesting discussion on how games like it can help develop flexible thinking for kids.

Did any of the hosts get to play Ashes? I don't think I heard it mentioned on the podcast but there's been a lot of buzz about that based on demos at the show.
Good cast
I was half-listening, but the part ~39:22 about the guy being the bomber reminds me of an experience I had playing Battlestar Galactica.
What made it so great was that in the first half, there really weren't any cylons, but in the second half we got the cylon and cylon sympathizer (me-I tried to help).
Our cylon became President and Admiral and everyone, except me, was in the brig, at that point we just gave up.

I'm willing to edit in links to games for the OP if someone wants to do the *actual* work of listing them all out.
Also, this is the first time I've hear Christos's voice. I don't know what I expected it to sound like—somehow I have known a person for years and never even imagined a voice for them.
Words... are a big deal.

Are there any videogames in this podcast? GenCon is all tabletop, right?
I don't have anything against tabletop, I'm just not interested.

Chasing some brass e-peen ring is for high schoolers who have nothing better to do.
I believe this one was all board.
