When we know someone's lying to us, we all dream about being able to catch him or her out. In Contradiction, you get to do just that over and over again!

Contradiction is an adventure game that uses 100% live-action video and a unique design to give you the freedom to move around at will, investigate locations, collect evidence and make notes. But the heart of the game is interviewing characters, asking them questions and spotting the lies they tell.

It's a system that makes you feel like you're really having conversations with characters, in which you get to see their reaction and embarrassment when you point out their lies!

You can also hit up the developer's game page, the developer update page with cast overview, and the game is on Steam and, iPad.

If you'd like to feel the real meat of the game, Giantbomb has you covered (spoilers, obviously):

I don't have time to play this and The Witcher 3 but I am thrilled that Giant Bomb is doing an entire playthrough of it. They start off laughing at it then become engaged with the simple mechanics then fall in love with the acting.

There is also another 2 hour long video for subscribers. They plan on returning to it. I imagine they are essentially just playing through the whole game.

Couldn't recommend this enough. I only got stuck in one spot, and felt very smart about the contradictions I did get. Each character is entertaining and brings something different to the table, and darnit if I don't want to see more of this. Please everyone, go buy this!

Oh, by the way, the second part of the Giant Bomb subscriber play-through went up a couple of days ago for those who haven't spotted it yet!

Saw the Brothers McElroy give this a spin over on Polygon. Based on how the lead actor sounds, it's like playing a 10th Doctor mystery game.

So anyone concerned about weird control schemes or whatnot, apparently at some point they updated it to just have point and click controls and it works fine. I have no idea how it plays if you're trying to use a controller, but at least you don't have to navigate choices with wasd or arrow keys.

It was doable, but apparently not great. It was originally designed for touch, so y'know. Weird that they totally stripped it though. I wonder if they'll put it back in later after improving it.

oh they didnt get rid of it I dont think...think I remember seeing a toggle-able option for it

Everytime the inspector puts the mask on and says "Have you ever seen THIS?" I just laugh out loud. He is such a quirky character! It's a bit short, but overall a wonderful game!
