A few quick points --
1) Yes, I know there is no golfer named Ben Watson. I got stuck in the moment somewhere between Tom Watson, Bubba Watson and Ben Hogan.
2) #4 on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest American Courses -- http://www.golfdigest.com/golf-cours...
3) Jonathan, I knew you'd ignore my demands and make that an out-take.
4) I'd pay Graham Rowat $1,000,000/year if I could to read aloud everything I write. Including this comment.
Thank you for your attention.

*shifty eyes* Yeah, DOWNIN. Geez.

You guys totally cracked me up with all the golf talk, and coming here and seeing these two comments and the topic image...... Just made my day.
And for the record, Shinnecock is number 5 on the Golf Digest's 100 greatest golf courses. And I only know because my dad plays.
I'm glad you got around to talking about Her Story (can we have a spoiler section® for Her Story?). And although this might be treason, I'm going to go ahead and disagree with the Game King. It might be frustrating, but sometimes, that's just life, you don't always have all the answers or any certainties. And Her Story certainly is a truly unique and compelling experience and deserves a playthrough. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it! It's hard to talk about it here without spoiling much, but this game was so great it's going on my list of 2015 GOTY contenders.
I found Alan Cook's impression on Arkham Knight interesting. Having just finished Arkham Origins, I've confirmed that I have zero interest in Arkham Knight, and I say this as someone who adored Arkham Asylum. I found Origins to be completely uninspired, and with all the issues we've been hearing about, I'm not getting Batman: Arkham Knight. Although I don't own a console, so I guess that's a moot point!
Loved the Graham Rowat reading, obviously. I'd already enjoyed the article as I'd posted in the dedicated thread, so Mr. Rowat's voice is just an added bonus.
Wouldn't it be awesome with he posted a clip of that sentence in this thread and then billed you?
I like the idea of adding the GWJ everywhere. Eleima Stargazer, MD, MSc, GWJ... So cool, I like the sound of that.
And I already put GWJ at the end of my Steam name, so that's a gimmee. Most of the goodjer in my Steam friends list do the same.
Anyhow, love the podcast, keep 'em comin', gang!

NOPE.

I feel Elysium's pain. I'm from Upstate New York, and we have a lot of map references that people don't believe are real.
Like Schenectady, Scajaquada, Depew, Whitesboro, Cheektowaga and so forth.
We also have a town called Covert which is a short, fifty minute drive to Phelps. I am not making this up.

If a Best Of list is being compiled for the podcast, this one should go on it. Hilarious banter and probably some of the more interesting points being discussed for VR. I'm also amused that Second Life was basically being described but never mentioned. Do companies still invest money in owning territory in Second Life?
Magic Circle also sounds relevant to my interests.

It looks like the last link in the Links section of the OP is borked.

I'd just like to remind you that Certis promised a Bloodborne spoiler cast on multiple occasions, so add one more to the list!
Oh , you guys are probably just waiting until the announced DLC is released to make sure you don't miss anything important (I've given you a temporary out, you're welcome )

Long Island's not much better - lots of Native American town names that are confusing as hell to an outsider.
You bastard, Tanglebones. :)

I'm a native Long Islander and I just didn't get the reaction to Shinnecock until the end of the podcast, it's just a town name I've heard all my life.
That start of the thread is what I needed. So glad that GWJ now means Golfer's With Jobs.
Need music for a project? Go to andrewkroepel.com. Last time I'll promote I swear!
Is that a photo of Shinnecock?
BTW Allen - You don't need a PS4 to play Rocket League with your friends. It has cross platform support between Steam and PS4
I get that "I should be playing something" feeling. I can identify when I get that as well.
As far as gaming, I'm a bit of a slut. I'll be playing several titles across several platforms across a week.
I always get "gamers block" after a really good session on a title I'm loving .. but I've just hit an end of level boss I'm struggling with, or a situation that I'm not happy with during a long running RTS.
It's not just "I should be playing something", but my brain is saying "you should be getting past that road block !"

Yeah, it was mostly about Batman and several PSN exclusive games I'd wanted to play at various points
I get the same vibe from Her Story as I did from the Soprano's ending. Either you love it or you hate it. Personally, I think the fact that we're still talking about it means the creator did their job. If we just got a cut and dry answer, no matter how unsatisfying, we just would have shrugged and moved on.
As for unbelievable town names in NY, don't forget about Coxsackie - which has both a state prison *and* a virus named after it.
And finally, any gamer who has to deal with a lack of AC in the summer will appreciate the gift of a Mission Cooling Towel. It might not be any more efficient than a wet hand towel, but it comes in a cool box and has a nice soft feel to it when wet. And it's completely silent...until you start snapping it at someone
"You've got to go on without me. I'm stuck for the next 2 turns."
Sean, not to open up old wounds or anything but did I hear you refer to McIlroy as English? I nearly dropped my Guinness in disgust!
The angry leprechaun speaks the truth.
I've let the heritage of my good-Northern-Irish name of Sean Sands down in a magnificent way.
The thing about smart people is they seem like crazy people to dumb people -- Thing I saw on the Internet
By the way. I saw this week that Her Story's creator came out and specifically said he'd like to keep the real ending secret.
So ... guess I'm never playing that.

Your loss.

Seconded.
I'd never thought I'd see the day when the Game King would err so spectacularly.
More seriously, I understand your frustration of not having a definite answer, but you're focusing too much on the destination and forgetting how wonderful the journey can be.
This sorta thing counts as a spoiler for me. Playing Her Story isn't completely out of the question though.

Well, I've got this cabbage...
Weird post-that-wasn't-supposed-to-be-here. Sorry, move along.
Might sound a bit corny, but I'm proud to have GWJ suffix on my steam name. The community as a whole has always felt like a cut above any other gaming community in maturity and just generally being frequented by more interesting users than most gaming forums/communities I've encountered. I always treated the [GWJ] tag as flying my teams colours, a way of seeking out like minded gamers and always added anyone who flew the same flag.
This was a bit of a realisation for me when I was having a crack at Dragon Age Inquisition multiplayer (as short lived as it was) with some GWJers, one of whom wondered why I was enduring high pings to play on a US server from all the way over in Australia.
"Why not just play with some Australians?" a fellow GWJer asked, which of course I do, some of which are GWJers themselves, but generally I don't find a lot of people who enjoy the same games or look at them the same way I do except for this community.
It has also always felt like an inclusive and welcoming community (to me at least) and one that has been easy to get involved in.

Batavia is clearly just a made up city name from an episode of Batman: The Animated Series where the mad hatter convinces Batman he lives in a city where everyone is a Batperson.
