Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (Catch All)

I didn't know that either, Vector. Thanks for the tip!

Hrmm it seems to be a one time thing, or at least I couldn't find a way to take the option again.

Ohhh, that station Vector mentioned also has random missions. Didn't give a ton of XP or fate, but I got a few nice pieces of purple gear out of it.

Station? Wha? I have no idea what any of you are talking about. To the research mobile!

The station in the first system, which points you to the tech priest. You can purchase skill and attribute pointe there, and run missions for them.

Man this game needs better documentation.

Yeah that’s news to me re: the station. What’s the name of the system it’s in again? Really bad with the names in this game for some reason.

Cherbernog or some such I think.

I had no idea about the Cherbernog station either. I'll be heading there when I get home from work!

Quick question: Is the crafting bench/upgrades shared across characters? Or, will I have to level it again for other characters?

yea if you go into a star map there's different stations/areas that will have a few to a handful of quest areas. These are scattered all over.

There's a rep mechanic and if you do enough missions in an area you'll get rewarded with a bonus loot box.

I will hazard a guess that the answer is shared, however I have not tested this.

That would make sense given the prices and rewards.

It's the starting system. Chernobog, I believe it is called. It's the station with the symbol of in the upper right of that system map.

I was trying to figure out some crafting details yesterday and got frustrated. That's how I ended up just wandering around the starting area. It's good they have a tutorial section but it contains only the most basic of information.

I do like that your loot scales regardless of the mission difficulty. The last mission I ran was a very quick and easy Chaos Space Marine mission that gave me a bunch of relevant gear.

Yeah. I'd love to know, for example, what those little numbers mean under an enemy's health/suppression bar.

Yeah, I do dig that a lot.

Did a quick mission for the world event. Disappointed that it's only a "kill a bunch of these dudes on this one planet". Hope they get more creative in the future.

Since this was based in the Chernoborg system, I decided to drop by the station again. Turns out, after you do three missions they stop generating and you're given a perk! Remember to turn all three missions in.

Also decided to splurge on the skill points. The 100 fate is costly and it is one time but 2 skill points was too good to pass up for now.

Oh wow, will definitely be doing that today. Already did one this morning. You can go back every so often and do these again.

I'll check again later tonight but it looks like there are these stations scattered around and if your run their missions (3 at Chernoborg) you'll get the reward. I'd assumed it would just randomly generate a new mission every time.

What's interesting is I'm not seeing the perk I gained on the wikia page. It's called Subdermal Mesh and it's +10% damage reduction against melee but -3% damage reduction against ranged. There's Subdermal Plating that does the opposite and you gain it through a Heroic Deed. I'm very interested what else is hidden away.

I've ran into a lot of weird display glitches with notifications in my short run today. The item I craft last night was displayed as its file name rather than the in-game name. This has happened a few times today. One of my crafting recipes is permanently displayed as the file name as well.

So all indications point to this event being kind of terrible. Kill 5,000 rebels for an...emote? What?

Well, in all fairness it is day 1 of the event so something else may be rolled out.

From a broader perspective this only part of what they have hinted at for the overarching goal of events.

Finally, neocor could also have set this up as a minor event anticipating that this close to launch they would have their hands full with bug squashing.

Edit - and in all fairness the prelaunch event was basically kill a number of chaos marines for a skull helmet that is just an appearance change.

I know, I still love the game, but yeah, this is a tad underwhelming. The skulls event was also underwhelming.

So I ran into my first game-stopping bug today. After an event mission, I noticed that the animation for the end-of-mission loot crate cut early, and I was dumped onto the bridge. Weird, I thought.

So then I finished out the space station missions (nice perk!) and a story mission.

Every time, no animation. I was able to verify I got nothing by counting what I got during the mission, before opening the crate.

So I can’t play the game until this is fixed, and I am SO SAD.

Did it work right after quitting and restarting?

Good question. I'll restart Steam, verify the game's files and try again.

K, you might've been right. Whew.

SKULLS FOR THE SKULL HELMET

I went to one of these event missions. The capture point type. Man my frame rate tanked, too much going on.

I just verified that crafting is shared across characters. Any recipe you unlock is for all characters as is the tech tree unlocks.

Cool, thanks!

I did an event mission too. I killed 100 baddies. Need 50,000 to complete the event. Don't think I'm going to run it 500 times.

Also, I get REALLY bad framerate dips when dropping the artillery strikes. I guess the demolition and explosion effects are too much. Also, I get bad drops when I have a lot of friendly AI too.
