Like the look of the field. I appreciate that the last few maps have had clear and distinct field markings. I'll be happily surprised if the racing game/mode that has been mentioned recently is part of this.
RL is nearly 8 years old
Are you still playing RL? What keeps you playing?
I used to be constantly pushing to get better and rank up but for the past 3 years or so I use Rocket League to relax and just have fun with friends. It's comfortable. It's a low time commitment. It does a good job of distracting me from life and work. I look forward to the GWJ RL gaming nights because there are no expectations or too intense players and toxicity. I'm playing private matches with a few other groups who are similarly chill. I rarely ever play ranked unless a friend convinces me to. Even casual match RL players take this game way too seriously these days.
Playing with friends. I now get the same vibe from matches with you yahoos that I used to get playing sweaty table tennis matches. <3
Or GWJ TF2 nights in the late 00s. 
TL;DW: 2v2 ranks are crazy inflated compared to others and (to no ones surprise) 1v1 ranks are massively deflated.
they can't hear each other. they are talking to themselves. they think everyone is the same rank as they are. surprisingly wholesome at the start but it doesn't last.
