I gave the mode a new go and didn’t really enjoy it too much. I don’t mind the odd game of rumble, but found this one a bit more of a scrap than that.
Ghostbuster car looks very cool though.

I played ghost mode a bit. Didn’t like or hate it.
After we figured out how to pass with the beam and how to yank the ball right when a defender tried to save it we started getting goals more easily. Wasn’t enough to keep it interesting for long.
I’m more interested in the spike mode that is coming next. In that one you can choose when to turn spikes on and off which means you can grab the ball when you want and then flick it by flipping and stopping spikes at the same time. Hopefully this leads to some cool passing plays.
It’s nice to have a new mode once in a while. Good change of pace. That being said ghost mode is probably the weakest mode in the game so far. Hopefully they keep experimenting after the summer and we get some weird mutator modes out of it for private matches.
For bottle rockets this past weekend we were doing mutator modes in private matches. We tried a lot of different things but I feel the best one was just hockey mode on the anniversary map (where the goals aren’t on the wall and the map is a bit longer than normal). I like hockey mode a lot anyways and this added more depth to centering the puck and had more room so we could comfortably play 4v4.
Ghost was very strange. Been on both sides of blowouts and still not sure wtf is happening.
This may be the first time I buy all the items before the crates for an event. So much great 80s movie stuff in there.

Just found out that KITT will be using the dominus hitbox, this is disappointing news. We need more breakout cars.
Is it officially confirmed that Kitt is dominus? I’m definitely seeing it reported on some sites but haven’t seen an official note about it. It’s surprising that they add 2 new cars and both are dominus.
Speaking of breakout hitboxes: have you tried the cyclone? That’s probably the coolest looking breakout hitbox car in the game. I still prefer to use the actual breakout tho.

Skyline has the same hybrid hitbox as venom. Octane has the octane hitbox (like half the cars in the game).
The difference between hitboxes is not as large as some people think but they are definitely still different and have different benefits and negatives. Some mechanics are easier on some hitboxes but basically everything is possible with every hitbox.
Personally I like swapping between different hitboxes constantly and using their benefits in my gameplay but if you have one you like and are comfortable with there’s no reason to switch unless you want to use a mechanic that works better on a different hitbox.

It was in Champions Crate 3, Golden Egg 2018, and Golden Pumpkin. I don't expect it to come back in a golden egg for a while but they might add it to players choice crate eventually.
TBH you could easily trade a golden egg for a key and trade a key for the breakout s. You might find someone who'll do it all in 1 trade but usually not.
