Rocket League Catch All

IDK the folks I get paired with in ranked seem to do enough odd things that your challenges seem normal enough lol.

The other day mid way through my partner got annoyed for something and just started doing doughnuts non stop and scoring on us. We we're winning then he just trolled me.

Then another player and I joined up and before the match gave me a so story about losing a bet for all his stuff and asked for any extra items. I had a few spare things and don't care much about that aspect of the game and let him have like 5 toppers they said lol thanks and bailed before we even played.

I love RL but the toxic sh*t is getting old. This is only like one every 5 games but still wayyyyyh too much.

Captured a few of the more decent plays from last night's session.

All Chat Off = Happy Rocket League. If you insist, then Quick Chat Team Only. I play the former now (after years of the latter). I have probably played no more than 1 hour of my hundreds of hours I have with any sort of text chat on. Now I just imagine players just saying "Oops my bad", or "No worries, its only a game" after bad plays. If I see a teammate being an idiot in the corner or playing against me... its just lag.. It's RL's favorite excuse anyways.

No, go away!

I had 2 clears there. 1 not so good and 1 good. I'm gonna look at it like I was just giving Panda goalie practice.

Air roll shot the first clear and you can choose the angle with more control.

i like the training pack in this video (23BC-0377-C228-A338):

At least they're pretty good homework videos.

After dropping from Plat down to gold 2 in standard, I decided to take a break and go back to playing some doubles. I feel like it's really helped, and I've got my doubles rank up to it's highest ever at gold 3/div 3. Doubles gives you a lot more chance to work on ball control and shots vs. 3's I think.

Anyone up for Snow Day Bottle Rockets this weekend? Could do some Drop Shot too.

Ggs last night.

I may pop on soon. You guys still do Saturday night rockets?

I missed the last couple weeks but if tboon is there I will be tomorrow night.

Oh sure. Tboon comes back when I’m 1000 miles away from my pc.

I’m planning to be there tomorrow. Come play, Tboon!

I can't play, but come back tboon! I miss your dulcet tones.

Played ranked with Anti and Crumbo for a few hours tonight. Very satisfying games. Ended up at Plat 3 Div 4. Fun to get into a groove with a team for an evening.

I might join in the fun tonight. Ran into a little problem the past couple weeks though. I haven't been able to figure out why yet, but sometimes while playing rocket league the game will freeze. It seems like if I quickly hit the windows key to get out of the game, it will eventually be ok and I can get back into the game. A few times it has went to the blue screen of death and I've had to restart my computer. Same thing happened once when I was playing a different game so it doesn't seem to be Rocket League specific. I've updated my video card drivers but wondering if it's an issue with my card.

What error does the blue screen show?

I'll check next time it explodes, happens about once every night or two. It always seems to wait until I'm playing ranked and am winning before it decides to do it which is awesome.

GGs last night.

Thanks for the good times and putting up with me. Was super fun.

RL April Fools is apparently new pictures for casual modes

almost a game winner

Sorry if this has been asked before but in the post game figures, it says Leadfoot under my name. What does this mean?

Thanks!

It's a title like Rocketeer or Rookie. It came out with Rocket Pass. You probably equipped it without realizing. You can change it in the garage menu and select the change title icon.

I’m thinking I might finally be done with rocket league.

I’m just not getting better. I can never find a group my skill level until five minutes before I log off for the night. And I really don’t want to play with randoms.

It kinda sucks because I still want to play but it seems that everybody has leveled up to diamond or champ and I just can’t hang.

No! No quitting allowed, sir. Why do you think you can't get better? What are things you're working on at the moment? Trust me, I don't mean any advance techniques, I just mean are you watching your spacing, positioning and challenges? With no real additional effort or practice times I really think you can easily improve some of the essentials and you'll feel like you're hanging.

There was a video Panda shared not to long ago. Basically said you're ready for the ball your teammates not. Or something to that regard. Don't go for balls until you know your teammate can get back to cover you. I really think those are simple things that we can all work on and improve our game.

You're not out buddy. I'll pull you back in... and out... and back in again. ahem.
