Confession: I've yet to see Goonies.

Loved the outtakes and the podcast in general. Sounds like the gang had lots and lots of fun. Sounds like a DnD game DM'd by Rob Daviau would be just awesome.
And don't worry Elysium, I knew what song that was. Such a great song, I always tear up a bit.

Also, congrats and best wishes to Nicole and Cory!

Weird double post. Sorry.

You poor, deprived child. This must be remedied at once.

Yay wrestling! It's like I get two GiantBombCasts in one week!

If Hedgewizard is Duffman, then who's Duffman? Hedgewizard? I'm confused!

Edit: Naked and handcuffed? Okay, now it's a bachelor party.

Some solid guitar playing by Elysium there!

As a fellow Guitar Hero -> Rock Band -> (beginner) real guitar player, I aspire to that level of skill!

I dunno' how Goonies holds up to a new viewer. Of course, I was 11 in 1985 when the movie came out. My real name is Mike. Sean Astin plays Mikey, the 12-year-old who is the leader of the group. The movie might mean a little more to me than it would to Rob Zacny.

The game David was talking about was called Castles of Burgundy (not Princes of Burgundy).

The perils of open mic during the break.

Oh well. At least you can tell we were having fun. But truly you cannot put Cory Sean and I in a room with a bunch of guitars and not have some sort of train wreck happen.

I have to say I always enjoy the Rabbitcon episodes a little more, but this episode was fantastic. It's nice to be able to actively hear that you guys are good friends.

Also, I highly recommend making a skype/hangout D&D game with Rob as the GM a high tier goal during the next pledge drive. I know I would throw in some extra money for a chance at that.

Of course Rob might have to agree to it first... but that's just a detail.

"Boston in the summer is just this fetid, hellish swamp..."

Dear Boston,

That's Cute.

xoxo,
The South

p.s.: I'm just yankin your chain, summer w/o AC is hell everywhere - woof, I know that feel!

You made my day!

Honestly the microphones being there is incidental. Basically this is just a snippet of what our six days were like.

It's not the heat that is bad, it's the humidity. Some parts of the South are dry and 100+ which, to me, feels better than 90 with close to 100% humidity. Then there are parts of the South that have the worst of both worlds and I feel for ya. Oh, and the city being covered in pavement that starts cooking all the gross crap on it doesn't help in the olfactory area either.

It's been too long since I last watched that. I have the box set lying around somewhere.

It's been many many years since I saw the Goonies. I don't remember it at all. The game sounds fun though.

This was a really fun episode, loved listening to the very natural camaraderie you guys have and it was even more apparent than in the rabbitcon episodes.

very nice ending, thank you very much for that, it lighten my day

And congrats Cory!

I might have said this before, but every time I hear someone play that Indigo Girls song, my mind goes straight to this antient meme.
