I picked up Total Warhammer 1 when it was free on Epic and finally got around to playing it the other day. I'd almost forgotten how utterly destructive to intelligent time use a good Total War game is.

Yes, the Chaos re-work looks great. So many choices now. When I do go dark side it will probably be Archaeon.
There's been a whole bunch of decent trailers come out since the last one was posted as well, they're all neat, but this one in particular highlights the scope of Immortal Empires. Excited to finally get my hands on it in a few days!

If you can hold out till November they usually offer bundles with DLC factions at a good sale price during the holiday sales.
My friend and I are extremely excited for this. We will probably do Chaos factions first since they are getting the most changes in this update.
Reminder that you need to own all three games on the same platform (Steam, Epic, or Windows) to use them in Immortal Empires. If you have one from Epic and one from Steam, you won't be able to access the mismatched races.

Looks like the old games are on pretty deep discount on Steam now.

No, but they need to be on the same sales platform. So you can't get one from Epic and the others from Steam for example
The sale is also apparently on Epic. Saw the Total War twitter announce the sale for both Steam and Epic. Checked out the Steam one and TWH1 us 75% off, TWH2 is 66% off and DLC (except Silence and Fury) are 50%. Probably won't get a better deal for quite awhile.
Does having the DLC for the previous games affect the new one in any way? EDIT: Turns out I can do my own research. yes. If I wish to play with specific factions, then the DLC will need to have been purchased.

The new chaos lords and ogres are a lot of fun but if you haven’t done the main campaign yet I think you can hold off. They’re also all chaos so you won’t get anything if you want to play a “good” faction.
And immortal empires provides a lot of new content. I’m having a lot of fun playing ninja skaven in Cathay and empire in the tomb kings region.
