Call of Duty:Black Ops III - Catch All

Teaser up for the world reveal on 4/26

It feels like a kind of cool take on the Deus Ex Universe. It's kind of like what Crystal Dynamics wanted out of Project: Snowblind.

Also got an email from them. Beta access with preorder

But I don't see Carl. Or any other black cops.

Holy Crap!

4 player campaign co-op (two player local) with new AI and arenas to handle non pop the weasel combat. Zombie mode with progression system.

I'm so in...

I'm not a big fan of the jetpacky style multi-player in these new COD games. We already have some other games that do that. I will still be getting this anyways for the Co-op.

Yea but none seem to be as good as what Brink (Which i still have to tip my hat to Gunz for it first) was. Now this has wall running and might be able to cover that gap!

That's pretty much my reason for getting the game! Zombies looks great this year, love the setting.

too slow, too dumb, too dead!

less than a month to beta!

DOTAizing or whatever you want to call it i think is a very good move on their part.

Started downloading the beta this morning so I haven't got to play yet, but I have been reading a lot of positive impressions around the net so far.

Yea i cant start till next week

I just got in... download only took about 15min if that.

Anyone interested in a copy for Steam? i have an extra gift ticket.

I enjoy the parkourish movement system where running along a wall, ADS, and murdering someone above can happen.

That part is neat, but I need to find an FOV adjustment amongst other things. Didn't really touch the settings before jumping in so that's on me.

I got my invites for the Xbox One version but none of the codes work.

*shrug*

that sucks...

anyone have an extra xbox one token to trade for a Steam one?

I found a workaround and my codes work.

I had to change my region to Brazil on the Xbox.com site to use them like the helpful kid in this video:

And whadda ya know. It worked. Click through accepting the registration and then just pressed the same spot and changed the region back.

How in the world do people figure this crap out?

I still have one more key for the Xbox One version of the beta if anybody wants to do the little trick in the video to get it registered

Beta was pretty cool. Movement & thrusting feel very good, wall running is simple to pull off & the maps although small were well designed. The abilities for each specialist character are a nice touch & the perks system can really help you in your play style.

The downside for me is the pure speed of the gameplay & the thrusting/jumping can make things pretty chaotic. I still think the hitboxes are off a bit (bullets hitting thin air beside players & registering as shots on the body) that doesn't seem any better in this new generation.

It's all about the zombies for me, please let it be as good as it looks. I love that mode so damn much!

Anyone with an extra Xbox one code? Have a friend who's PC got dumped on with some water and can only play the console right now.

This. I'd like to give it a shot. PM if you have one!

Tried this out last night on XB1. It's OK but all it made me want to do is play Titanfall. The maps don't take good enough advantage of the double jumping or wall running, and I was killed so damn many times trying to boost over scenery that was impassible. There are some maps that are better than others but the servers I was in kept voting to play Stronghold which I would say is not a good example of how to take advantage of those mechanics.

I'm also not a huge fan of the near-future setting this series is stuck in. Feels very generic.

Probably won't be running out and getting this on day one but I might jump on it when it hits a sale (or the bargain bin) since I don't play zombies.

I tried it out last night. The demo was lag free and very smooth on the XBO. The game definitely needs a new engine soon as it's starting to look really dated. On the flip side, if that allows for 4 player, same-console, zombies I'm OK with it.

Agreed. Just stuck to the arcadey semi-real setting they used to use. If it wasn't for the co-op campaign & zombies I would be skipping it.

I mean, the semi-realistic modern setting was also very vanilla but at least there was a point of reference for some of the settings and especially the weapons. Maybe CoD: Hardline should be next?

has some of the best movement in a shooter since Brink. VERY smooth. Nice weapon selection and the maps seem asymmetrical and fair enough on either side. For a CoD game it's very nice!

Feels a bit herky jerky and underutilized to me after playing Titanfall extensively, but maybe I'm not giving it a fair shake for that reason.
