A Genie Appears. You Can Get a Sequel to Any Game But...

Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel, as an action rpg.

Persona 6 as a cow-clicker

I know, right? That is so sad

Secret of the Magic Crystals the MMORPG

or Space Quest, Roger Wilco Reporting for Duty!
..day of the Tenticle...
More Monkey Island..

World of Warcraft 2 as an RTS. ;)

I so hope they'll let me import my WoW character(s) as a hero unit whenever Warcraft 4 happens...

I've got it! Jet Set Radio 2 as a 2d rhythm runner (ala Bit.Trip Runner 2) or a 3rd person endless runner (ala Temple Run). Basically anything that gets me the style, music and speed of the original but avoids the 3d platformer and control frustrations

Deadly Premonition as a Telltale style point and click. Those characters and plot without the crazy controls and having to use that map.

World of Starcraft, please.

Street Fighter as a dating sim.

You mean Double Dragon?

Star Wars: Republic Commando as a third person shooter instead of first person?

If not that, then I'd have to say Brutal Legend 2 as an action RPG or platformer or Zelda-esque, seeing as I'd rather a sequel than none, even if I did really enjoy its RTS-lite elements.

Nah like a legit highschool drama dating sim, with the Street Fighter crew as the cast. Or a Nancy Drew style game I suppose.

Quest for Glory as an open-world first person RPG.

Dragon Age - but not a sequel, a prequel. And done as a strategy game where you play as Maric and must defeat Orlais and establish the kingdom of Ferelden.

Interstate '76 as an rpg.

Oh god yes.

Shadowrun Returns as a first-person immersive sim a la Deus Ex/Bloodlines.

Saints Row as a grand strategy game like Crusader Kings.

Like CKII, I'd buy it, find it utterly incomprehensible, and wish I could play it.

Demon's Souls 2 as a 2D Metroidvania like Symphony of the Night.

Republic Commando as an XCOM-alike! Hell, Battlefront 2 as an XCOM-alike.

Well done sir!

Mass Effect 4 as an RPG

Spoiler:

Am I doing it right?

Because it's the sort of thing that would only work with literal magic I say Dwarf Fortress III as 3d MMO that sacrifices none of the complexity or ability to build. I'm basically picturing the MMO from Reamde with less monetization.

Planescape: Torment reprised as an MMO.

Alpha Protocol 2 as a Crusader Kings/Darkest Dungeon mashup.

MechWarrior as a Total War game. The Clans as the requisite barbarian invasion expansion.

I'll let myself out.

I see what you did there.

Yes please. Or Warhammer 40K: Total War. I would quit my job over that one.

Yes, yes and yes

Wait, hang on. Have we really missed the obvious joke here? This is clearly a Game Genie!

Yeah, I'll show myself out.

No, wait! Actually contributing!

Dark Souls, but a Lego Game.

Ratchet and Clank as a Light Gun game.

Brutal Legends, but as an MMO I can play with a guitar controller.

I would probably buy each of those without waiting for a sale. Lego Dark Souls just out of sheer morbid curiosity.
