Neat videos.
Also through this I learned you can actually get generic bodies you can customize.
Speaking of, ever think we'll get 3d printing to the point that we can get good statues?
I suppose one could print something and then sand it.

Yes absolutely, with a little finishing you can get pretty much anything you want.

My dremel that's sat mostly unused for more than a decade is intrigued. Oh, but I don't know if I could justify the expense of a 3d printer. Then again, I'd pretty much just have to make three to five statues before the cost would be equivalent.
Also somewhat related, Blender 3D 2.80 Beta #b3d has been released and omg it seems so much better. Although not too many of the changes speak to sculpting.
Anyone know of or have a reputable retailer in Japan? Or suggestions in general? I am thinking of trying to procure one of these (try not to laugh at my likely futile effort).
Hey, I have that, but mine's called "Jetfire".

The history behind Jetfire is interesting, I wish I had kept mine. Evidently, "unused" versions go for a pretty penny. They appear to yellow much like other light-colored plastics from the 80's.
Small update (if anyone cares), I decided to take a chance on an ebay seller, who unfortunately could not procure the item locally in Japan, but thankfully they cancelled and refunded my order. So I went back to searching and found a reasonably priced version on Amazon Japan, which shipped with a speed that rivals Amazon Prime [sic] to the U.S. Thanks for all the suggestions, I hope this does not become a habit.
Quintin, I know you want one of these.
Ha, Devastator. We had the 5 constructicons, but I don't know who in the family ended up with them. But I have Jetfire and Optimus Prime (original), so I'm happy.
he even comes with a cup a' tea...

Fe#kin adorable that.
Oh and I have a question !
I've noticed that the last couple of years has seen a massive improvement in the detail level in some figurines….
that is Peter Cushing !
So has there been some new moulding tech invented, or are these super detailed heads being 3D printed ?.

Yeah a lot of figure companies moved from a stamping process to a printer like inkjet system and the figures are much better for it.
Nice modelling on the face, gives her a petted lip....

"Alita: Battle Angel" 1/6 Scale Figure
Hey All,
I bought my first gunpla kit the other day. It's just a little squished up chibi type thing....I have never experienced anything to do with gundam but the models look so cool, I wanted to give building one a go and maybe it could be new hobby.
Anyone else build these things/have any tips?
Cheers
Nice...

A puzzle that let you know chicken body parts!
Assemble all 38 separated parts to create a complete cute chicken.
Besides the chicken body parts, Chicken Thigh Meat parts (grilled) are included! You can even make them grilled chicken meat skewers!
The puzzle can be displayed as a roasted chicken other than a complete chicken!
How-to-play
-Assemble the Meat parts and Offal parts to Chest part A and Chest part B to make a roasted chicken.
-Attach the Head part, assembled roasted chicken and Chicken Claw part A to the Body part A.
-Assemble the Body part B, Body part C and Chicken Claw part B. Now you get a complete chicken!

Been a butcher for over 30 years and love the idea of a toy like this teaching kids where meat comes from.

Not that I've seen to date, did find this western Baroness statue though : https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/re...
It's amazing how similar Bayonetta looks to the Baroness, even their names are similar.
Well you could argue that as G.I.Joe made it to Japan (below) the Baroness may well have served as inspiration, but personally I think its a bit more generic than that.
The image of a glass wearing intelligent/mean beauty has been a staple in manga for decades, so I think this is more likely.
Or maybe Hideki Kamiya just had a thing for Lucy Liu...

Oh now that is fekkin adorable...
