GWJ at PAX East 2015!

Section:

Hi everyone! Just a quick note for all our buds going to PAX East this weekend. We've got two official GWJ things you're going to want to know about!

Saturday, 11:30AM we will be doing our show live in the Dragon Fly Theater! Join Sean Sands, Julian Murdoch, Cory Banks, Shawn Andrich and Rob Zacny as they spin a Conference Call before your very eyes. We'll be doing some Q&A near the end so bring your questions! Apologies in advance for the program that says Ken Levine is joining us. He ran into a schedule conflict and had to bail. Sad panda.

Saturday, 5PM we will be doing our annual GWJ meet & greet at Tamo Bistro & Bar at the Seaport Hotel! It's a quick walk from the convention proper and we've had a great time hanging out there the last couple years. Good food, nice drinks and a chill, open space for chatting and even playing some games. See you there!

Comments

Despite my proximity, I won't be able to attend Pax East this year.

Next year, though, I hope to bring the family.

Have fun, everyone!

Here are other things vaguely GWJ related (in other words, where I'll be).

Friday Morning: Manning the Merch Booth for TakeThis.org in the diversity hub.
Friday Evening: Volunteering at the AFK room.

Sat 4:30-530: Panel in Cuttlefish on table top game design with friends of the show, Rob Daviau and Kevin Kulp.

Sat 9:30 - 10:30: Game Show Night in Dragonfly hosted by Susan Arendt. I'm a contestant for Blankety Blank.

Also: I HAVE THE FLAG if someone is planning on camping at tabletop gaming and would like it.

Hope to meet, greet and play at Tamo! I hope they are still serving Spencer trappist.

Also, I'm excited / relieved to learn about TakeThis.org from your post. It looks like a great cause!

Not gonna be there this year, but have a great time, those who are!

I think Demyx and I were planning on staking out space in TT on Saturday before and after the podcast taping. Not sure if anyone is planning on setting up a GWJ table on Friday.

OK, well, how about this. I will LEAVE THE FLAG with Momgamer in the Press room. You should all say hi to her anyway BECAUSE SHES THE BEST.

Woohoo all weekend!

Ok. Much better. I've got a much less obnoxious forum name.

(Can a mod delete the post from EngagedFamilyGaming? That is my hella self promoting alter ego and I am hoping to banish him.)

I'll be around all weekend covering the event.

I, sadly, have to miss the live show due to an appointment, but I will definitely be at the meet-up.

Confirmed.

Does anyone know if the Thursday night board game areas are going on in the hotel again this year?

Most likely. The Westin has been getting better and better at (and more accommodating of) letting PAXers literally take over starting Thursday night.

I will be at PAX East all day Saturday. Looking forward to the live show and S&T!

This will be my first time at PAX, so if you see a guy in a Doctor Who shirt wandering around with a lost and confused look on his face, say hi.

Looks like it's definitely happening

Okay, who is going to the event, and are we using that Group app to chat? I've got some family issues that may limit me on Saturday or Sunday, but I should be around on Friday. I'm dying to try the X-wing game with someone (the miniatures ones), so that's a priority.

Hey anyone up for a breakfast meetup tomorrow. Gonna try and get into the city around 7:30/8:00am if anyone wants to grab coffee.

BTW if you get a chance on Saturday stop by the Fitchburge State booth and see my sons game. He'll kill me for posting this but, proud papa be me.

whoops last year hahaha
