I'm so glad we got the new communication-wheel options. Now pubbies can ignore me saying "Fall Back" AND "Group Up" instead of just "Group Up" as they trickle in and get slaughtered like animals.
Hopefully it makes it even easier for them to spam voice lines!

I can feel the depths of your gladness and excitement in the new options on the wheel from your post.

Got a 6k last night!

I put this game down for a month or three, but picked it back up today and I can enthusiastically confirm that having your match canceled after a fifteen minute queue still means you then get another fifteen minute queue.

Patch notes today 6/15 might have helped the queue times.
New Feature: Priority Requeue for Collapsed Games
If a competitive game collapses due to a player leaving early, you are now granted a priority requeue the next time you queue to play. You will see a small icon on the interface to denote this status. When you queue for a game with priority queue status, the matchmaker tries to prioritize finding an appropriate game for you. This normally results in significantly lower times waiting in queue.
Also the Genji/Hanzo damage increases went in with the patch.
When we run a brawl comp the teleporter trick works like 95% of the time taking the first point on Horizon/Hanamura. I think the only times it doesn't really work is on the rare occasion when we teleport straight into a Sym/Mei that is setup on point, or an enemy hamster knocks us around at the choke before we can get the teleporter up.

I love how even though we lost 2 on that first push we were still able to pull that off. That was a great round.

Axel, you basically had a Brig Backpack from me 90% of that game. I didn't get much more than a couple meters away. Hilarious to watch from that perspective. I rarely play her and can mix up her abilities, but I figured I would focus on one thing: stay close to Rein!
First game of the bright new sunny "priority queue" era, and the opposing team had four players who were all named "NONAME", all brand new level 26 accounts, and none of them left spawn the whole match. Gonna be one of those nights?
Still counts as a W
Edit: the new promotional Zarya skin is.... well, it is. Not sure what the plan was there.

Lol speaking of Brig backpack, I remember in some interview with Jeff they asked him about crazy hero mechanic concepts that never made it into the game. He mentioned for a while they had an idea of a support hero that was like a barnacle and would attach themselves to another hero to buff/support them but couldn't move themselves. lol, maybe we'll see it in some form in OW2 if society doesn't collapse before it gets released.
Ironically Rein is one of the worst players that Brig can backpack, unless he is low on health. A Tracer with 200 health vs 150 is a lot more valuable than a Rein with 550 vs 500. I know there was some chatter about making the armor pack buff proportional to the total health of a character, but haven't heard anything lately
A classic Torb potg by Skraut.
An old mini-doc from 2016 about the creation of OW. I'm surprised I haven't seen it until now.

I meant staying close, not throwing armor packs on. Totally agree, armor packs are best spend on squishies.
Had an idea for a relaxing video...Zzz

Last night we experienced 1 group get matched with another group in QP queue

Wow, been a while since that happened! Guess I cut out too early (or maybe it happened because I stopped dragging down one team! )
That's too funny how random that is. Good stuff.
ADORBS!
I've watched this like 10 times in a row and it barely looks like you'd touched him. He just looks so gleeful like he wants to GTFO
It was a glancing blow as he ran in front of me. Was enough to boop him up over the wall to continue off the map. Otherwise he would have stopped at the back wall on point. Will see if I still got the other angle.
Upon further review and watching the 1st person view The Bob is throne right at me just after Lucio gives me a lil boop back and before Bob lands on the ground he gets a lil' punch back into the pillar ricocheting off up and over the wall.
oh man, Bob missed that spiky part of the wall by like centimetres and just kept on going
Through practice, positive play, and sheer luck, I clawed my way up a rank last night, and then quit playing that role so I'd end the season there. Today I log in to play other roles, and somehow my SR dropped 10 points, to exactly one point under the cutoff for the new rank.
Does anyone know if there's some kind of nightly adjustment to ranks or something? Or how else that might happen?
