Marvel Media (Spoiler Thread)

Blade pre production stopped, director gone. Was supposed to shoot in November. Bah

She-Hulk season finale.

The intro part was amazing.

The entire episode, especially the last 1/4-1/3?

F*CKING AMAZING!!

Can't wait to see it!

Truth!

Yes, it's fair to say that I wasn't expecting that.

Spoiler:

1. I might be barking up the wrong tree trying to assign logic to it, but did they just forget the plea deal and the ankle bracelet and everything? I'm unclear what the in-universe reason is, or did KEVIN just remove that detail?
2. I was a bit disappointed we didn't get to see actual Feige and not FeigOS
3. Loved the intro part and it going really deep on the 4th wall breaks

1. I thought I heard a one line mention in the closing court house steps scene.
2. True, but it was a good twist there.

Feel the same way. Holy hell that was amazing.

What a douche. Showing up at your cousin's showing off her superhero boyfriend party to unveil your son from another planet.

That seemed so oddly done. Like I get the thing with Bruce showing up (accidentally) steal Jen's thunder, how they introduced Skarr was odd.

As a longtime member of team "they already made a great She-Hulk show, it was called 'Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law'" I do sense I'm going to have to give this a shot eventually. Shulkie is my favorite superhero and while I will die thinking the show would've been best animated, I've heard enough things about it that I'm curious to give it a shot.

K.E.V.I.N's will to introduce the next thing during the epilogue of the current thing cannot be denied.

1. They didn't specifically mention her plea deal and ankle monitor at the end, just that she was cleared of her previous convictions. Presumably, they didn't want to prosecute her for violating the terms of her plea deal since she now had concrete evidence that Intelligencia had targeted her and orchestrated the incident that caused her to have to wear it, and going after her for that would be really bad publicity.
2. According to Gao they tried very hard to get Feige to provide the voice for K.E.V.I.N. but he didn't want it to go quite that far. He was the one who helped her see they didn't have to do a big Marvel Villain BattleTM for the ending though.

It definitely has a similar vibe to Harvey Birdman. You should watch it, it's so great.

And then Birdgirl, which is its own thing but quite amusing too.

OMGOMGOMGOMG

Just watched the She-Hulk finale. I really enjoyed her encounter with KEVIN, and her (Marvel Studios') criticism of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It demonstrated genuine self-awareness. Bravo! I also loved her comic asides as she was breaking that 4th Wall.

I think that together, WandaVision, Ms Marvel and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law represent a real breakthrough; I hope Marvel Studio continues to take the opportunities to use their roster of characters to tell different stories about different people in different ways.

I think it was the best episode of the series. But the highlight for me?

Spoiler:

Daredevil's 'Walk of Shame' in Episode 8. Beautifully done.

Exactly this. The vocal critics of these shows seem to want Iron Man/Captain America stories told over and over again- just with different coats of paint thrown on the costume of the main character. That will get boring. It's a pretty big comic book universe they're playing with, they can allow different shows to have different scopes and tone and not have to force it all to be Infinity War levels of hype and action.

As much as I enjoyed where they went with the sequel, I think the fact they set it up that way over the previous episodes kind of a mix to me.

Also the finale should have been double length. Way to much quick wrap up.
I need more Nikki, and Pug, and ANGELICA...I mean Mallory, and Emil, and Matt, and Wongisynn, and....

Enjoyed She-Hulk. Also enjoyed Werewolf by Night. Cool aesthetic and world building!

I loved She-Hulk so much I signed up for Marvel Unlimited so I could read some of her comics. I want more.

Spoiler:

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

She-Hulk finale was amazing! Deadpool's 4th wall-breaking has fallen to a distant second.

Werewolf By Night was also entertaining. Great Halloween timing.

Supposedly She Hulk did it first anyways...

No supposedly about it. She-Hulk was breaking the 4th wall years before Deadpool was created.

Yeah, and even when Deadpool was created, they didn't start having him be the goof that he is and breaking the 4th wall until years later.

I was curious how big the gulf was a while back and googled all of it.

First instance of She-Hulk breaking the 4th wall is in ~1989 with the start of John Byrne's run.

Deadpool was created in 1991 but they didn't start having him break the 4th wall and be the Deadpool we all recognize until 1997.

Thoroughly enjoyed the She Hulk ending, although 10 year old Mini-Sorb was a little confused for the last quarter or so. It's not nearly so fun when you're trying to explain everything, that's all I'm saying.

I wouldn't call it major and Isn't this a bit obvious just from the trailers?

Werewolf by Night was awesome!

And wife and I finally started She-Hulk since the finale is out. First 3 were pretty great. Probably finish it this week.
