Is it too obvious to think that...

Spoiler:

Mysterio is creating all those disasters to stop them. That both the disasters and the heroics are illusions? Or is that too much like what they did with the Mandarin?

That's my going theory, as well.

I was hoping it was Spidey vs the Fantastic Four there for a bit.

When thinking about spider Man I am wondering how no one can think spider Man is someone in their group.

He is only seen in new York, except when they are in Washington and London. Doesn't anyone wonder why he never appears in other cities except when their class group is in them?

It’s the glasses.

Imagine Spider-man is your dad. Or your sister. Or your best friend in 10th grade. Doesn't seem likely given all that you know about that person. Given that point of view, it seems more likely that if you did unmask Spider-man and it turned out to be someone you know, it would still be a surprise, but not that surprising.

That's also assuming he's going to be fighting AS Spider-Man (don't forget the hyphen!) in those cities. Its wholly possible he'll only be doing it a few of them and/or will be fighting without the suit and thus have to stay hidden

It's also possible the black suit we saw briefly can stop cameras from getting his image or something. There's got to be some reason for the change-up, right?

And there's the real possibility that MJ realizes that Peter is Spider-Man by the end of the movie, just like Aunt May did at the end of the last one.

Because he watched the Incredibles and thought the villia ns plan was sound except for a few details. So he wants to recreate it.

Well, manufacturing crises was Mysterio’s schtick long before it was Syndrome’s, sooooo...

I thought it was heavily implied that MJ already knew that Peter was Spider-Man in Homecoming.

That sounds possible? I only saw the movie once when it was in theaters.

Looking up the character that seems like the logical play. The MCU does sometimes surprise though, so maybe not.

The surprise will be it ends like his Daredevil storyline.

How about Spider-Man: Homeward Bound, a spirited buddy comedy with penniless Pete and Ned as stowaways on a trans-Atlantic ship bound for NY.

If they can get Michael J. Fox to do a voice for a dog that goes with them I am all in.

I would watch that? Even actively look forward to it?

Peter: "Hey guys! Remember that old movie where that kid had to defend his house from those bad guys? I totally had to do that while you were gone!"

Happy: "Yeah, right kid."

Why Magneto Can Never Be In the MCU

But they have Thor and a Hulk... oh.

Starting the punisher season 2. However, all those cops using the symbol has soured me a bit on the character.

The Punisher first episode starts off slow and then murder murder everywhere. The good, they added some bad ladies. Ladies need work also. The bad, the pacing is a little off so far. I'm hoping the cop lady from season one comes back, I really liked her.

They sour the guy who created Punisher too.

That accent, though.

I'm on episode 6 of season 2 of punisher and Iron Fist season 1 might have been better than this. Really boring and I still have no idea what half the plot is. Random girl running from random guy. This is just terrible so far.

Not all metal is magnetic.

I've seen military and police use this symbol since at least 9/11. Has it suddenly ramped up? Maybe I noticed it more due to the large ROTC presence at my engineering undergrad, but I thought it was relatively common back then.

Use of the Punisher's skull symbol has definitely ramped up since the Blue Lives Matter and Thin Blue Line bullsh*t started. I also think the sniper, Chris Kyle, co-opted it, which appealed even more to some service members/cops.

It's been a double-edged sword of the Blue LM being started and growing, as well as comic characters starting to be super-mainstream popular at the same time, including Punisher getting his own show.

Spider-verse not nominated for best picture. The Oscars are a sham.*

*the black panther nom is legit tho.

Magneto is often referred to as a master of metal... comic ambiguity ftw!
