They has got Flash down!
Not sure about the M costume. I demand fishbowl!!

Mysterio looks badass.

I assume Mysterio is Jake Gyllenhaal? Is he a good guy or a villain?

That looked....fine but for some reason it didn't blow me away. It just looked like general sequel fair - meaning more of everything. Bigger battles, bigger jokes, bigger etc. But it didn't look like anything new was really happening.

The first one was so good - I just want more of the same. I don't need anything new - Marvel's formula works for me!

Also, @beanban - I am guessing a little bit of both but we will have to watch to find out!

At least it's not London Calling, I guess.

Far from Home looks great, though I think it's interesting that the stuff from Avengers isn't mentioned at all.

You can see the fishbowl towards the end when he's battling the water elemental.

I did see that on second viewing. Looks good.

Hydro-man, maybe?

Looks like someone finally figured out that many of these characters already have iconic themes.

I'm pretty sure that "the same thing, but in Europe" is the cliché for a jump-the-shark sequel.

I'm so glad they brought back Toby MacGuire for another Spider-Man movie!

Notably: no one who wasn't killed in Infinity War shows up, either, which I'm going to take as evidence for my theory that the universe split in half and everyone who "died" in Infinity War actually just got shunted off to a parallel dimension.

So now we have an MCU multiverse? Uhhh boy.

You'd think with all these school trips where Spider-Man just happens to show up someone's going to put 2 and 2 together.

First Europe, then Christmas, then Vegas, then sequel with the next generation of characters.

To space, if it's a horror franchise.

I thought Far From Home takes place before the events of Infinity War.

Also, didn't they play the Ramones in the first movie?

I has no idea of the Ramones connection to Spider-man until I looked it up right now.

Without that using them as background for action mostly set in London was legitimately puzzling.

Spoiler:

According to the Wiki, apparently it takes places after Infinity War: Endgame.

Or that and the fire guy are concoctions by Mysterio to appear as a hero because reasons.

Because he watched the Incredibles and thought the villia ns plan was sound except for a few details. So he wants to recreate it.

So when does this movie take place? Before Infintiy War? After?

Spoiler:

It happens in or after July. *nod nod*

Because Homecoming ended on Blitzkrieg Bop on the credits...

Yeah, love the Hollywood-ness of that passport. Font sizes all off and no years anywhere on it. Not even his birth date!

To be fair, I expect (I should check) that there are rules about realistic looking passports like for US currency.

We've also got a water, fire and earth elemental in that trailer. Just need an air elemental and you've got all the physical elements.

Oh, I'm sure there are. It's just funny to see it with something I'm familiar with, and in close up. They never really do close-ups of fake Hollywood money.

Well, they're also a New York band, and Spidey is a very New York character (I was also not certain if you were cracking wise in calling them English, though they are English-speaking).

Which is why I thought waiting for him to leave for England before breaking into 'I wanna be sedated' was quite strange.

Anyway, it's not as nonsensical as I thought initially, even if a slightly odd creative choice.

I'm excited for the movie, although I'm one day out of Into the Spiderverse which blunts the impact a touch.

Ah ha! Okay. Goddamn, I need more coffee.

Proper shout out to not using London Calling. It'll be a great day when a character says they're going to London, and London's Burning starts instead.
