NFL 2014: Week 8

Teddy time!

Really glad Tampa spent all that money on the offensive line this offseason so they could expensively let defenders run free at the QB instead of doing it on a budget.

Anyone know why CBS has the rights to the Seahawks/Panthers game when both teams are NFC teams...

LOL Tampa. Don't sub in the punt team until the offense does.

not the beginning of the Ravens game I was hoping for.

Ravens only have 3 points, but a whole lot of possession. That may be the edge come the second half.

Also, nice to see Michael Campanaro getting involved with the TE position having been decimated. Shows how far Marlon Brown has fallen though. Then again, he's not a slot receiver.

Meanwhile, Fox has Titans-Texans. IT'S BIZARRO BROADCAST DAY.

They really are. I might be spoiled because of having season tickets to the Chiefs for about six years in the 90's, but going to Rams games is a really awful experience. They like to claim how loud they get, but its when they score a TD and everyone cheers.

I was at a game during the Kurt Warner era, and the Panthers had a third and long form the Rams 40 yard line or so. Clearly, that's a turning point in the game. And no one was standing. They didn't see the point. They came to see the Greatest Show on Turf throw TD passes.

This season there is plenty of speculation that the Rams are leaving, everyone hates the owner, and they have been really bad for several seasons now. Opposing fans often outnumber Rams fans. Attendance is abysmal.

I really hope the Rams go back to Los Angeles. They are the Los Angeles football team, having been in LA just shy of 50 years.

I'm sure it has something to do with London game. That screws up everything.

I was thinking it was because no one cared about the games so much that they sent their broadcast teams to the wrong stadiums.

1 minute from a scoreless half in Tampa.

I've either been watching every play of that game or a drunk hobo took a dump in my mouth. I'm not sure I could tell the difference at this point.

Bears. Yikes.

Teddy!

Wow. Cordarelle heating up.

First TD of Seahawks/Panthers comes in the final minute of regulation! Not a moment too soon!

To the Panthers' credit, they didn't quit playing D this week until after the 2-minute warning. A week ago, they left the D on the bus outside Lambeau.

Justin Tucker is one hell of a kicker.

I've seen Greg Little catch a bunch of balls thrown his way. I am in the Twilight Zone.

So this TB-Min game is at least having an exciting finish after a slow first half.

Disappointing. Use the timeout with 12 sec left and take one shot at the end zone, then kick the FG to tie.

And the Vikings defense comes through. Teddy gets a win without stepping on the field in OT.

Oh Tampa....

Goddddddddddddaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn it

I mean, they were going to find a way to lose, but that was a particularly excremental way for it to happen. You know, in week one, Tampa would have beaten Carolina, except Dashon Goldson dropped a pick that hit him in the hands. On the Vikings game-tying drive, Jonathan Banks dropped a pick that hit him in the hands.

So, you know, Mariota?

Chiefs didn't play as good as the score indicated. But they completely exposed the Rams weaknesses to perfection.

As Legion would point out, you can't win games against good teams if you never take shots downfield. The Rams are clearly not a good team. The Chiefs still lack any TDs by WRs this season.

Their defense is really coming into their own, despite a ton of injuries.

3 for 3 on early picks, so at least having a winning week.

Embarrassing.

Man that cinn safety flopped big time.

Tb sports is in a bad way. How is the lightning doing? /walks away

WTF Pitt?

Or Indy?

The Eagles/Cardinals game is about to start up again. Utterly excruciating to watch. So many flags, injuries, challenges and other assorted stoppages. I'm not sure who looks worse. Eagles shot themselves in the foot more times than I could count, Cardinals never capitalized on said mistakes, including two god-awful turnovers. Foles drives me crazy when he throws that deep ball (into triple coverage? SRSLY?). But it's close, and the line was tight. Gotta make sure I have my airsick bag and defibrillator at the ready.

Imagine if Larry Fitzgerald could play the Eagles 16 times a season.
