I was a huge fan of Twin Peaks when it came out in the early 90s. There was something about it that really spoke to me, an eeriness and quirkiness that was unavailable in any other medium at the time. It was a joy to watch.
How much of a fanboy am I? I got the diary, Coop's tapes, the "visit Twin Peaks" guide, the DVD set (but not yet the blu ray.) If TP was a game...well, one of my favorite games of all time is Alan Wake... if you play through it and don't get a feeling of Twin Peaks, you might want to do some brain games on a DS or something. Back when the show originally aired, I took notes with pen and paper, and would lead a small group of students in a discussion following each show. I had it bad.
So now I'm hearing that the series is coming back after 25 years... picking up 25 years after the events of the season finale. It'll show up in 2016, for 9 episodes on Showtime, and I'm also hearing that they will broadcast to a youtube channel.
There's a festival?
Aaaaand that restaurant chain named "Twin Peaks" might have damn fine coffee but I don't think it has anything to do with the show.
Anyway, I reserve the right to edit this post like crazy and add more stuff to make it a better OP.
If you're a fan, I'd love to hear your reaction to the hype!
EDIT - Where are they now?
