NFL 2014: Week 4

Too soon for that. Don't outsmart yourself.

Also, beware the short week. It seems to introduce a higher level of variance, which can score big for you (if you're starting Matt Ryan against the Buccaneers) but it can burn you, especially with a QB in only his 6th career start.

I'm on the verge of outsmarting myself with Eddie Lacy. I'm so tempted to replace him in the lineup this weekend.

In no way would I even consider doing that. Mentally I might view Lacy as a flex starter for now instead of RB1, but he'd not be leaving my lineup entirely.

Unless I was just so stacked with sure-fire players that I would not be starting a marginal guy at flex over Lacy.

Look, I get it, but Rodgers was still projected for the 5th most points this week, while Cousins was down near the middle of starting QBs. Cousins hasn't shown anything near consistency in his little career and Bill Barnwell's entire article today will be the "I told you so" about Kirk Cousins.

Ride the Rodgers train, he's likely to get you somewhere more frequently.

"They" have projected Rodgers to accumulate a lot of points every week. I'm not dropping him, but I think the Bears are going to clean the Packers clocks this week. On the other hand Cousins looked primed to have another great week. I gambled and lost. I'm still not positive Rodgers is going to have that many more points than Cousins this week.

Bears still aren't great at run d.

Jared Allen is questionable.

Lacy will get more runs when they have leads to protect.

Really enjoyed Kirk Cousins' performance last night after two weeks of "KIRK COUSINS IS THE ANSWER!"

OK, he is the answer, it's just not to a question the WASHINGTON FOOTBALL FRANCHISEskins want asked.

The question being: why are they selling us expired beer?

Do yourselves a favor and just quit fantasy football. Its god awful for being a sports fan.

Actually, starting fantasy football in the 90s made me more knowledgeable about the game then just sittign around and watching it, that's for sure.

Also, makes the other football teams and news more interesting.

I lol'd at this.

This, too.

No Fancy Teddy Bridgewater this week? Aww...

Am I alone in my hatred of these things? I read the first one and laughed a few times, but I haven't been able to make it through any of them since.

So, I thought it was a little strange that this week's South Park episode used Gideon Yu, the 49ers minority owner, as the "owner" of the 49ers, instead of the more appropriate choice of Jed York.

Amazingly, South Park fixed the mistake on subsequent broadcasts and streams.

As if the RG3/Cousins switcharoo wasn't impressive enough, but now they can squeeze in re-animation between broadcasts.

You're not alone. I love super hero text messages but hated those.

I like a few, but many go on way too long.

~40 hours to go, and 35 picks in for this week. Some very split choices.

All you Teddy non-believers... :p

So, who wins a game first: Bortles, Bridgewater, Carr, or Manziel?

No most of the jokes aren't even funny and that sh*t goes on forever.

Not quite sure why Carr is in there...but Bridgewater wins first.

He's still stuck at 0 wins.

So I had just read this article - http://grantland.com/the-triangle/re... - and for some reason in my mind I was sure you were talking about David Carr, not his brother.

My answer is still the same

NFL Network copying my question.

Let's break down their opponents:

Week 4:
Bortles: @ Chargers
Bridgewater: vs Falcons
Carr: vs Dolphins
Manziel: bye

Week 5:
Bortles: vs Steelers
Bridgewater: @ Packers
Carr: bye
Manziel: @ bench

Week 6:
Bortles: @ Titans
Bridgewater: vs Lions
Carr: vs Chargers
Manziel: vs bench

I think Carr has the best shot this week. Bortles has a good shot in week 6. Teddy B has the toughest matchups.

I LOL'ed when Cutler referred to Dalton's contract as "Ginger Bread"

Bridgewater this week. The Falcons defense is better than anyone expected going into the season, but still not great. The Chargers defense meanwhile, is really solid and has been the second best pass defense over the last couple of seasons.

Yeah. She saw folks talking about Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson and said "aw. did your dice break?"

Domestic violence (rolled 18): Two game suspension!

Tape Leaked to Public (rolled 2): Lifetime ban!

Bortles in week 5 in an upset!

The timing of NFL Network's Warren Moon special isn't great given what's currently going on in the NFL.

Colts onside kick against the Titans in the first quarter, just because.
