Portland, Oregon Meetups

Ok (and I added your answer to the poll so I don't lose track).

Cool. I put together a quick doodle poll to help figure out which date might work best.

Follow the link to select which of the possible dates works for you.

Looks like October 27th is getting some traction as the best date. Posting the link again for anyone else since we're on a new page now.

We've got 8 voters which is about as many people as I think we ever get at the Portland meet ups so I'm giving the poll one more day before setting October 27th as the date. If you need to change your vote, now is the time to do so.

Thanks

Sounds great to me!

Ok thanks for voting. We'll plan on October 27th.
We started at 2pm last time it was at my house and that seemed to work pretty well so let's plan on that.
I'll post more details as we get closer again.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Super fell off checking the forums, but I hoped on the poll. It'd be great to see you all again though. I'll try to get myself back in here a bit more (he says before leaving on vacation).

Hey that’s great. Hope to see you then. I’ll start posting more details as we get closer.

I’m curious if anyone has any games they’d like to bring to try out (especially if reading about rules ahead of time could be helpful)

I have a copy of Root that I haven't got to the table yet. I also have a copy of Azul, but that is easy to teach.

Now that we are about a week away, checking in to see who thinks they will be able to make it on the 27th at 2pm?

I'm committing. All of my more recent game purchases are games I discovered at previous meetups, so I won't be bring anything game wise.

I'm pretty sure I will be able to make it.

I'm a maybe. I have to play this weekend by ear and may do another weekend of fishing.

I am out of town this weekend. Hope you all have fun and we have another one soon.

Also out of town. My wife really wants to go to geek girl con in Seattle, so no go this time.

Thanks. Looking to see if any of the other folks who thought the date might work can confirm:
skylarhawk
DSGamer
PirateBob
Beanman101283

If there's someone who missed the initial discussions and is around this weekend on the 27th feel free to chime in.

I'm thinking we'll make sure we at least have four or five who can come especially because Druidpeak would be making a pretty good drive to get there.

I should be able to make it!

Gah, kids school events popped up so I’m out.

I was hoping to make this one, but I has some family visits mix up my schedule a bit. I think I'll have to miss this time around.

Alright so we're down to about 4 of us: Rahmen, Druidpeak, beanman101283, and Aristophan.
That doesn't give us much wiggle room if something comes up for anyone.

Thoughts from you all on moving forward or should I throw another date out there hoping we could get a bigger group?

I'm available, but I'd be happy to punt until a day where more people can make it. Either way.

I'm pretty flexible, as I don't have much in the way of family commitments or work on the weekends. so, while I'm still good for this weekend, I have no problem putting it off either if we want to try to get more folks attending.

Ok thanks everybody.
In that case I'm going to try and reschedule to a different weekend.
I'll put a new poll up shortly with some new dates.

Sorry but I think it'll be more fun if we get at least a couple more people.

I wont't be there but I'll weigh in anyways and say you all should meet this weekend. It's always tricky organizing events in November and December with holidays, family outings, and the like. I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got another meetup in before the end of the year.

Thanks for the effort! I'll participate in your next poll.

So uh hey. I be moving to there.

Welcome!

When are you headed this way? I’m sure we can at least get a few people together.

Nice!

Very cool. Give a shout if you need a hand with anything.

Welcome to the party. Watch out for the marauding bands of free range kombucha-addled ukulelists.

Should land out there sometime in early July.
