Mass Effect Series Catch-All

Personally, I HATE the synthesis ending. The synthesis ending forces people into something they might not have chosen. It's one thing to have Shepard evolve and control the Reapers, it's another to inflict something on people, adults, children, everyone, something they did not choose for themselves. Flies in the face of Consent 101.

I've discussed for and against each ending at various times. For intrigue. It has became a little fuzzy through the years. (Must play again!) I can say, though, that synthesis became less appealing on each occassion due to the reasons you cited. It's the worst, arguably.

I mean, the thread IS in my Favorites. That's a thing. I do love chatting about Mass Effect.

A listing for a Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered popped up and was quickly taken down on a Portugese retailer's website a couple of days ago. It had versions for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Switch. It used place holder box art (edited version of the previous Mass Effect Trilogy art from the last gen release) and it had an October 2020 release date.

Also a Remastered Edition of the Dark Horse Normandy SR2 model has popped up on Amazon for pre-order.

Yes, but is that a remastered ship or the ship from the remastered game?

Please, oh please, oh please, and on the Switch, please.

I put some time in on ME2 this week. I've never finished it, or 3. Might finish the series right around the time the remaster launches! XD

I have never been able to finish 3 a second time.

When I first played ME3 I played without a save file from the previous 2 games, and it put nothing in context. Mordin, Tali - Wrex was Dead - even the Ranchi queen, nothing made sense and the narrative was incredibly poor.

Second time, I did it having gone back and played 1 and 2 again and it was a much much better experience. I'd also realised by that point the ME3 multiplayer was one of the best little MP add-ons to a game I'd ever played. I put more time into that than I did the actual story mode.

Yeah I played it once doing my paragon run, expecting to do another renegade run like usual. But the ending... I couldn't play anymore.

At least the coop was tons of fun. Got my money's worth that way.

The ME3 multiplayer is easily one of the best coop multiplayer games I ever played. Love the diversity in races, classes, weapons and enemies. I really hope they release a new multiplayer when they remaster the ME Trilogy.

Garrus and Ashley have always been excellent gun platforms. People just didn't know how to command them properly.
