LOL, maybe stop dying so I don't have to keep killing the Nemesis that murdered you

Hey you try playing a melee focused wizard and lets see how YOU handle it.

I am! On Expert!

small world. lol

I have had no issues with it though, I haven't died yet and feel pretty OP. What skills are you using?

The wife surprised me with a copy, so I'm planning to jump in tonight. I played through D3 on the PC at launch, but from the sound of it a lot of the things I didn't like are now fixed.

Edit: On PS4, name is in the sheet

Loving this so far. Own the base game on the PC, have been wanting the expansion for awhile. Figured the expansion plus controller support would make it worthwhile. All of the little changes are fantastic and I just love having direct control of my character. So much fun.

My only real complaint is I wish some of the UI text was just a tad bigger. Other than that it is fantastic. Love how easy it is to jump in and out of games as well, and with the level boosting there's less of an issue with level discrepancy which is awesome.

I'm using the melee attack (Which I'm annoyed don't show the weapon you're using but what can you do) Ray of frost, arcane torrent, ice armor, and slow time. I was only really having som much trouble becasue I couldn't find a better weapon but since one of the legendaries you sent me was a sword I'm having a much easier time of it.

Adding XB1 folks as I see them. I'm up to the low 20s on my Crusader. I. Love. Dodge.

diamond skin is your bestest friend, make sure you use the blades signature attack. drop your hydras for extra attacks. Ice armor is good but once you get energy armor that will give you a much higher armor boost. You R2 attack can kinda be whatever, I like disintegrate because it makes me feel like cyclops.

Will be firing up for the first time tonight on PS4. Sent out a bunch of friend requests as "apricat" on PSN.

Back post Loot 2.0 but pre-RoS, I ran a frozen orb build that WRECKED. FACES. Did they ever nerf it?

IHateDRM's nemesis killed me last night. So i've died a few times on my Crusader I can't remember if i'm on hard or expert. I just don't get how you are supposed to get away from elite packs that jail you constantly. That said I can't believe how into this game I am considering I beat the main story like 5 times on PC. Remote play is amazing with this game.

I am playing expert on a barbarian, which I never played on PC and haven't died. I remember having MUCH more trouble playing this game on my monk back when it came out.

Yeah, remote play is pretty great. I tried it for about 45 minutes before I went to sleep last night. Just throw a skill you don't need to use that much on R2/back touch (like the ice armor skill for my wizard) and you are all set.

So, the game bricked my PS3 Slim. I can't entirely say it was the game but it crashed on me twice yesterday, then completely froze my PS3 today and now it's bricked. Was working just fine otherwise, dammit.

Just wanted to say thanks for dropping by, KrebNi. I obviously wasn't prepared for multiplayer (no mic) - I forgot how simple it is to hop into games. I'll make sure I have one handy next time I play, which will be very soon. I was having a lot of fun playing the crusader - much more my style of character than I played on the PC. I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did with the controller, and now I may be done with KB&M with this style of game.

Anyone else playing Crusader?

I'm feeling mixed on the class. I'm level 25, and since level 22 or so it has felt borderline overpowered. Really high armor plus a very effective ranged skillset doesn't seem fair, almost. Plus, the fact that the class's ranged playstyle seems so much more effective than the melee style rubs me the wrong way. I signed up for melee! I made a Wizard for a reason.

Wondering how other people are feeling about their classes in general, if people are willing to share.

Crusader is great because of its versatility. If you want to build a melee tanking machine, the active and passive skills are there. If you're getting hammered and need to be more cautious in an area, the ranged options are there. I'm mid 30s at this point and whenever I got to a place where I felt OP (typically because I picked a lucky legendary up), I'd just crank the difficulty up a notch.

The Crusader feels powerful and it should, but yet there are elite packs that have melted me (I'm looking at you frozen, vortex, plagued leaping things in the desert).

I'm playing on expert, I can't crank the difficulty up until I finish the game :/

It's an odd feeling. I prefer the "feel" of the melee combat but prefer the results of the ranged stuff.

It was fun! I am also quite surprised how much I enjoyed playing last night. I,too, played once through on the PC when it came out, but for some reason I didn't nearly enjoy it as much as I am now.

I think part of my enjoyment is how more relaxed/enjoyable it feels for me to play on console - rather than sitting at my disk at my computer, clicking the mouse every second (which I do all day), I pulled a comfy chair a few feet from my big TV and just got to sit back and hold controller buttons and flick the analog sticks (and what a great control mapping on the controller!). For me, this is a LOT more enjoyable. And with the PS4 it looked gorgeous.

I'm also not someone who usually plays on the harder modes, but for some reason I started on expert. I'm only in the low teens, so perhaps it will get too hard for me but for now I am really digging the challenge.

Re: Multiplayer, I love how seamless it was to drop into mateofalcone's game - This week the wife/kid are away, but in "real life" I'll probably only get to play in short bursts when everyone is asleep so that will be critical. I couldn't quite figure out what happened to my progress afterwards though - he was slightly behind me in story and then when he left it seemed like I was still stuck back in time in terms of the story... had to reselect the chapter I was on and then it warned me I'd lose my place in the "current" save. Strange.

Finally, wondering how switching around difficulty affects progress - If I ever switch away from expert does that impair my ability to unlock other difficulty modes? I'm starting to realize that this game is meant to be played over and over (yea, I'm a bit slow, just played it through once on PC) and don't really understand how those long-term mechanics work (or how it might mess with my ability to get trophies!

Looking forward to playing with you all!

Sorry for all the Nemeses I released into your games last night, I tried to finish Act V on Master and it got really ugly towards the end. Eventually had to take it down to hard just to get through it.

You used to have to play through the game multiple times to unlock the different difficulty levels, but now you have access to normal - master at all times and then the torment difficulties once you get to 60 or 70, I forget which one. There are 6 torment difficulties and they are the end game content with special legendaries and stuff.

Playing on Expert or Master is mainly just to quicken the leveling process.

I had one, good stuff. I like getting attacked by the nemisis. The gongs and the rumble right before is great, I think.. oh yeah, here we go.!

I wish I didn't have to like, work this week. Really didn't expect it to put it's hook into me when I played so much of this on PC back version 1.0.4 or so.

Yo Ruhk, I took care of that bastard in the Oasis for you. Legendary's in the mail!

Yeah, but you let it kill you!

Not me, I have still yet to die. I am pretty annoyed I can't raise the difficulty past expert without beating it because its a silly cakewalk at the moment.

Whoops, I was thinking of someone else. My bad, team.

I just got this last night on XBox One. Anyone who wants to friend me up please do!

My gamertag is Valmorian.
