The Crew - Catch All

Nope, I uninstalled the game in favor of Driveclub.

yea never bought it after trying the beta.

I got this as part of the latest Humble Bundle and already know I love it. SURE the story is stupid and the driving is a bit weird (I get why it's weird though so I'm okay with it), but WOW the feeling of the open road, and the open world itself, is a real achievement.

I don't usually play driving games but seeing as this is going to be free on xbox soon I'm going to give it a go. The open world and xp aspects sound promising. However I expect the rubber banding will have me shouting at the screen in no time.

Any response from developers as to why they keep using RB in games?

Er...I've got a bunch of hours in this, and if there's rubber banding I've not noticed it. I read a lot of folks had issues with it in the beginning, but either it's gone or it's so subtle as to not get me to care.

Thanks. That's encouraging.

Anyone pick this up on PC from UPlay? It's free from a while (not sure the end date). It sure does look and run nice on my new PC.

I got it back in the Humble Bundle a while back, and really love it.

Picked it up from Uplay. Very nice game.

I snagged a free copy as well, but haven't dug into it since I played the beta a while back. The driving mechanics and graphics were pretty solid!

Finished up the story last night, and enjoyed it as a kick back and drive game. As an online centric game it's sad that I've only run one online race. I may dabble some more in that aspect of the game when I get time.
I'd also appreciate it if Hemidal would stop beating my times!

Also, concerning the end of the story missions:

Spoiler:

Of course the last mission would be a takedown mission! Oh how I grew to loath the takedown missions.

Arise!

I've been playing this the past few days and having a lot of fun!

I don't know how I'm ever going to beat the scores on my friends list. It must take a while to build a tricked out car that can get crazy race times and handle tight slaloms and other stunts.

The only thing that's kind of a drag is that I'm pretty sure the game would be a lot more fun running with a crew of 3 other people, but I'm just not ever going to do that.

Feh, scores. This is an arcade road trip sim with occasional missions. Love it.

I made the mistake of letting some reviews tarnish my experience, but I tried it again a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The dash cam is my favorite perspective, but it seems a bit trickier in The Crew than other perspectives.

Just passed level twenty and headed to NY. Here's my current stable of cars:

Ah beleeyuv ah kin flaaaah:

Did you get the new expansion, Ken? I'll likely get it in a month or so and dive back in.

Yeah, I have the new expansion, but I haven't played much cop stuff. The crate runs are fun, though.

Did not see a thread for the The Crew 2. So arise!

I got invited to the beta, and have an extra invites I can give out. PM me if interested.

Same here. I'm really digging it. The feel of the cars is very much the same as the original game. The map is similar only better looking, same events (though a lot less of them in the beta). The only slight negatives for me are the voice work and the blase music.

Definitely a must buy for me.
