Game of Thrones—NO SPOILERS—The Balls

Joffrey. Here's the full image:

So its:
jon, danerys, someone (rob?), sansa, oberyn?, cersei
joffrey, jaimie, tyrion, ned, arya, catelyn

Though that may not be Catelyn and may be the Dornish mother of the sand snakes.

Yup, you got em all.

Cersei's smirking. Someone needs another walk...

Why would the poison be gold?

No, no, no, guys. It was Viserys who was poisoned with gold.

You win, Hobbes. That was perfect.

Only two wolves left, and we have no idea what happened to Nymeria.

So sad.

It's like... "We haven't had anything horrible happen this episode... I know, let's kill another wolf!"

I guess the hanging was kind of horrible, but expected.

I thought Lord Commander might spare them.

f*ck the Umbers. The North Remembers.

Apparently the North remembers slightly off based on what Bran saw at the Tower of Joy. And if you need anyone for exposition in a sci-fi/fantasy universe or both in movies, video games, or television, Max Von Sydow is the guy you call.

I thought this was a great episode. Two of the story lines we were missing were both progressed. But Sam's story line was total crap. As in, nothing happened! "Oh we love each other so much and we'll follow each other all the way!" Bah!

Jon leaving was pretty cool though.

RIP Shaggydog.

"My watch is over" - glad he realized that.

Spoiler:

Jon: “I’m not a god.” Tormund: “I know that. I saw your pecker. - Love me some Tormund.

Edit: corrected some spoilered bits.

I'm pretty sure that I'm a horrible person because I get teary eyed every time a wolf dies, but I really don't care when people die.

Jon put in his service and he served the Wall until his death. He truly is free.

Every time that hotel ad comes on w/Tormund in a suit answering phone calls in a pool I laugh and laugh.

HA! We don't watch a lot of TV at Casa Abu, but were at a friend's Kentucky Derby party and that commercial came on at least three times. We also laughed and laughed.

Of course I heard this in my head during Arya's training...

- Varys shows why he's such a good Spymaster

- What a dual wielding pro. Also what was with the pronounced accent with "No this is the end" - intentional to show he was serious?

- Umbar seems like another northern ahole lord but I like how he isn't afraid of Ramsay

As nerdy as it might be, I would watch a show centered on the Small Council.
Speaking of which, when will Littlefinger ever turn up again. Seems so unlike him to stay out of influencing things for so long. More so considering Sansa kinda jumped out of his plan.

That's pretty much the local government scenes from The Wire.

Now I'm gonna be thinking "shiiiiiiiiiiiiit" every time knowledge gets dropped during the small council meetings.

The less we see him, the more frightening he becomes. Scheming like a spider in his hole, weaving his webs and entrapping unwitting flies in it.

We also haven't heard anything about Gendry(?) the blacksmith.

He's still rowing. The last scene of the series will be him arriving in Bravos with a gigantic upper body.

I was about to invoke The Wire on something else, glad to see allz y'allz beat me to it.

Specifically, there's some ethical entropy going on in the North not unlike the later seasons of The Wire, as the Avons, Prop Joes, Elder Karstarks and Umbers, Cuttys and even the Strings and Rooses who understood that there are Rules to this Here Game and even that there are Games Beyond the Game have been replaced by a younger, bloodthirsty generation who only see the Game as an end unto itself. Younger Karstark and Umber are much like Marlo and Cheese in this regard.

I guess that means everyone better watch out for Sam Tarly in the future. You know what the most dangerous thing in Westeros is, right?

Spoiler:

a crow with a library card

I laughed, and then pictured this

Quagmire would have been rowing in a circle

Goodness gracious.
Did he also train his jaw? Wait, don't answer that.

Heh... well played HBO Store, well played.
