NCAA 14 - XBOX360 - GWJ League -Season 3, Conference Title Week - Next roll by 6/10/14

San Jose State is the cure to all ailments...

Duke holds on to beat Va. Tech. My offense failed to really do anything my line couldn't pass block and my running game only at times would gain traction then fall off again. In the 4th quarter I was only up by 4 and Va. Tech had 2 timeouts from the Duke 8. After 3 straight over throws on 4th down. Th Va. Tech QB dropped back and then decided to take off with it. My top 2 D-Lineman get cute block before they can reach him. At the 5 he runs into my corner back and proceeds to stiff arm him but my corner holds on and gets a little bit of help from the safety and drops Va Tech's QB at the 1 yard line. My offense comes back out picks up the first down and remains unbeaten. I posted a video of the stop and my other video was really my only big passing play. After about 6 runs from the same formation I got a set up on a PA pass in which everyone bit and no one was within 30 yards of my WR.

I think we may be ready to roll!

Only 3 games this week. Should have a nice quick turnaround on the roll.

Duke is ready. Hate bye weeks.

Hawaii squeaks by Utah St., 38-35. It wouldn't have been so bad if not for those three turnovers in the first 3 minutes of the game. On the opening drive I threw an INT in the endzone because the Utah player's jersey blended into the blue endzone! I stopped USU quickly, but their punt went right through the hands of my punt returner and was recovered by USU and run to my 20 yard line. Then I threw a really dumb pick on my next possession.

Even after I righted the ship, their offense came back in the second half. My halfback inexplicably decided to bench himself in the fourth quarter, which meant I gave the ball back to them more often than I should.

Ugh, I shouldn't play in the early mornings! Still, at least I won.

We have one more game to play, and perhaps a bit of recruiting. We're listed at 5 / 7 ready.

I got down 14-0, came back and tied it, and then hit a FG to go up 17-14 with 2 minutes left. Then I let Texas move down the field and score TD, costing me the game 21-17.

Oh, and Hawaii grabbed *2* votes in the media poll! All I need is another 251 points to break the top 25!

NIU will play tomorrow night.

Looks like all games are played. I'm going to roll this after work today!

Hey, everyone! Chad here. Just joined the league as Maryland, and the Terps started things out with an upset over Clemson!

What's this?? Hawaii is ranked #25 in the BCS rankings!

I should get my game in this afternoon or this evening. That will leave just two more games on the schedule.

I had an ugly realization this afternoon, though: there's a chance I could play Leroyog twice this season. I play him late in the regular season, and I could end up playing him again in the MWC championship game if he beats Boise St. next week.

Not that I'm calling Leroy ugly or anything...

What's this?? Hawaii is ranked #25 in the BCS rankings!

Wow, even crazier: Joey Iosefa (HB) is 4th in Heisman voting. I never thought someone that SLOW could be a candidate!

It's also goofy that the top 6 candidates for the Maxwell Award are from Kent State, Ball State (x2), Hawaii, Boise State, and UL Monroe.

My team is shake it. I took a 10-0 lead in the fourth, only to lose 13-10 on a last second FG.

It become a trend.

Ouch.

Hey, Leroy – can we put our teams into the Big 12 next season??

EDIT: In all seriousness – I wonder if we should move our teams up into conferences with better opposition in the next season? I'd be happy for Hawaii to end up in the Pac-12 or the Big 12.

After a terrible week on offense in my last game. This week Duke came out and beat down NC State. Duke had over 500 yards off offense.

Hawaii manhandles Navy, 70-17. The Warriors scored TDs on every possession. There was a time in the first quarter when it looked like Navy was going to be a real force, as they scored on two successive possessions to stay within 7 of Hawaii, but that didn't last. After allowing Hawaii to bring it to 21-14 in the first minute or so of the second quarter, Hawaii's defense decided to become stout.

On offense, Hawaii ran up 601 yards of total offense. Their QB Higgins went 22-24 for 237 yards, 5 passing TDs, and one rushing TD. Their star HB Joey Iosefa rushed for 150 yards on 22 carries and scored a TD.

It was nice to feel like the game was initially competitive, but Navy's defense just couldn't keep Hawaii from scoring. Hell, even the back-ups scored 3 TDs in the 4th quarter!

Looks like we have one more game to be played. Anyone who hasn't should get their recruiting done!

I'm all for moving divisions if we stick with these sliders.

Hey, welcome! Nice win. I hope no WRs were harmed in the plaing of that game (given Maryland's recent travails). Glad to have another player in the league!
