His house at spawn appears to have been hit by lightning as the wood top is gone. The weird part is the fireplace is also missing the top and it was stone the whole way up I think. Maybe charged creeper but I don't know what else would have done that much damage (and a creeper shouldn't have exploded on top if he wasn't online.)
It's fine; I lost a lot less than the original post implied. Won't take me too long to fix.
The chimney was incomplete, ending just below where the wood wall started on the second floor. I thought I'd capped it with stone as an interim measure until I could extend it all the way up, but apparently I missed a square, so it set part of the wall on fire, which then spread. Honestly, the whole thing was down to my impatience about lighting the damned netherrack. That'll learn me.
Server seems to have stabilized a bit with latest memory upgrade.
I’ve seen some minor block lag, but please keep letting me know if you are having any major issues like disconnects.
Who added nether rack to my house and changed my signs labeling the slime chunks? Why remove a stone pillar which labeled it as a slime chunk and add in a plain sign saying the same thing?

It was me. My Rationale was that the pillar was taking a spawn spot. then I felt bad for taking the sign down. Then I wasn't sure if the sign was doing the same thing. I think the back right corner might be a slime chunk too but I got distracted before I was sure.

There are three or four slime chunks there. The two directly in front of the portal and the one either beside or beside and behind it have all had slimes. There might even be five.
There's a cliff near spawn [northeast-ish] around 435, -350. I'd like to build a small project in that area. Didn't see any signs of development, but wanted to check just in case.
Sea Temple works now (I'd call it Beta at best). Its not as good as a fence one yet, but it works. Slowly since I haven't gotten the fences in place, but a few spawn and come down the water paths into the lava.
Like last time, there is a button on the side to turn lava on and off (so you can kill them with fortune manually for better results with the lava off). Loot drops into the chest on the side. Ladders go up to the place I used as a temp house... you don't want to go up there with the lava on... that could be ouchy.
Important... also like last time only open ONE DOOR when manually killing them. Otherwise they escape and bounce around the whole temple like idiots!

Up the ladders near spawn... follow the signs. Basically follow the path to my house (can't miss it as its sea lantern lit as of this am).
Hi All-
Recently there was some 'random', mining that happened at one of our player's home location. This was several tunnels dug straight out away from the main mining area in different directions.
This isn't how we do things on this server. We don't have any server mods that restrict players from mining or building or...whatever. We rely on the honesty and integrity of our players to respect each other's space and builds. So, please remember that if someone has started building in a space then it's their location and you don't have free reign to do whatever you want. That includes the surface as well as below.
If there's something you want to do that involves another player's area, post on this forum and get permission first. Let's all be good neighbors out there so we can all have fun.
First off, thanks Masher for hosting a great server. It was not Moto or I.
Second, I found a Fortress and enabled the End Portal. Dragon is still alive and I'd like to tackle it as a group. Retro and I have set up a staging area with a couple of beds, storage, and easy access via roof tunnel train and portals.

Blaze Spawner 2.0 is done. Its at 142 / 60 / -49 in the nether. You can find a tunnel to it from the nether highway beside the sea temple. I'll put a connecting temple to the spawn area as well when I get more stone bricks.
Its the same kind as last time that has the trap doors. I put an auto-smelter in the room as well as an Full Enchanting Table Setup in a side room.
EDIT: I think I got the Blaze Spawner working properly.
Also lag spiked horribly tonight arround 10 PM eastern (not at the same time as the spawner starting to work so I don't think its related). Does the server reboot every night on its own?

I was on last night from 8:30pm until 11:30pm Eastern. No reboot. Server was running fine for me though with no lag at all.

I think I finally got minecraft to stop disconnecting me. All I had to do was buy a new hard drive and do a new OS install onto it....

Made tunnels in the nether fortress for hunting wither skeletons. Tunnels have 3 block high bars in them where the wither skeletons can't pass so its easy to kill them. Blazes & Regular Skeletons are a bit of a pain, but they always are in fortresses.
I'm still gathering resources but hope to soon be terrorizing everyone with a days sail.
I'll be updating the server to 1.13.2 today. Looks like just some performance improvements which hopefully should ease the load on the server.
Also, I haven't given up on updating the world map. There's some work being done on Overviewer to support 1.13, but the whole way blocks are represented has changed , so it's a pretty major overhaul.
It looks like Mapcrafter may have a branch with 1.13 support, so looking into that as well.
Both of these are still kinda wobbly, so I'm not rushing to implement them.
