Minecraft Multiplayer: GWJ World

cool. my wheat reactor will be an emerald mint!

Is this the seed that has the villager that sells eye's of ender (or was it ender pearls?)?

Also, I need to gather more rails from the ravine below my house. I plan to start a rail from my ravine-top house to spawn(or the desert tree).

I really dislike the jungle, though... would it be easier/better to tunnel under the jungle/desert? I know it would be safer, aside from potential cave-ins.

There is a villager in the near town that hands out emeralds for ~15 wool

Given that zombie pigmen always seem to park on rails, nether rail systems tend to be somewhat limited in their usefulness.

One of the ai tweaks in the most recent update is supposed to prevent mobs from blocking rail lines, so assuming it works that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

I have an operating farm with an autoharvester, so I am hoping to find a villager that buys wheat. If the villager only purchases wool, though, I can probably expand my sheep pasture to accommodate that commodity.

What I really need is a merchant that can take my goods to the trading pits at the village in exchange for a percentage.

edit: at the least, I need to build a storehouse near the trading pit and build a freight line from my farm to it. Hmm.

I logged in to see the iron farm, as that really caught my eye. That design is super cool.

It took awhile to figure out where the entrance was... I spent a lot of time in the silo, because I had no idea how the machine worked. Eventually, I found my way into the pond above the kill zone, and had to dig myself out -- you'll see a cobblestone block where I escaped. After farming some iron, I sat through the video tutorial on iron farming just to understand what the heck was going on, because I had no idea what those white monsters were, why they dropped iron, and why they were mysteriously just showing up. Wow, what a project.

I put most of the iron in the chest at the entrance...I did keep a few blocks, just in case.

That thing will make railroads easy.

Hehe, Yeah plav installed a MASSIVE arrow to the collection building. Feel free to collect as much iron as you need/want, atm it's mainly for tools for me and plav to keep digging with to open up the silos.

Hi there. I was just wondering if someone could whitelist the user "tsunderetacos". It's my girlfriend, who finally got her own account, hehe.

Yer more than welcome to make use of P&E Industrial Iron. As well as anyone else who's in need of a fresh dose of iron. Hopefully we'll be able to have SILO 1 up to 75% capacity or more by tomorrow evening.

P&E Industrial Iron - "There's nothing quite like a crushing the life outta helpless golemn for a new hoe!"

How about "Hey golem, get in my hoe!"

Punchier, and can fit on a sign.

"Nothing like crushin golemns for your hoe."

-I went on a Walk about, partially by boat.

-Built an anvil thing at spawn (anvils take a lot of iron!)

-I also finished a rail route to the iron factory, but it is not entirely populated by rail and is very dangerous and unlit.

-I found enough gold, though, in temples, to power quite a bit of rail.

Isn't a good ratio like 9:1 for powered rail? Or can that be stretched even more?

Over a flat surface, if you start with 3 or 4 powered rail to boost a cart to max speed, you can space them at 30+ and maintain max speed. You'll need a lot more to climb hills.

With the iron factory going, we'll have full beacon goodness going on all over the place. Gathering the iron was worse than getting the nether skeleton skulls and killing the wither... by a mile.

Ruhk, you built your house near a witch's hut. I'm curious how often they respawn. I had to fight 3 of them at once when I was herding cows back from the swamp.

I'm going to go ahead with planning on a tunnel for my train from my house to spawn/desert-tree-station.

At the very least, I intend to tunnel through the jungle. I may, possibly, surface at the desert border, not sure.

I guess I need to find out a good x, y, and z target, though x should be a nearly straight shot.

There's a POI safehouse just north of the jungle, which might be a good starting spot, as things start getting vertically taller outside there.

Any tips, hints, suggestions?

Gonna need a lot of iron, but I think I need the tunnel first.

36 pieces of rail between powered rails is the most efficient design, I think.

I believe I see a jungle temple to the SW of my spawn point. Someone mapped a cave close to it but did not put a sign on the temple.

I read a study on the wiki that siad 1 in 38 is sufficient. I have found that to be the case in a test NW of the Golden Spike.

I mapped the cave, didn't see the temple. It was night.

Suggestion: Server rule that you have to hold a red flower as you harvest the golems to commemorate their passing.

If you are going to stay to the west of me, I will definitely come over to help dig the tunnel so we can have a rail line to spawn instead of having to go over land through that damn jungle biome.

I've gone from -2000 to -900 today. I started at the POI safehouse just at the north end of the jungle south of my house.

Gonna dig out under the tunnel entrance and the safehouse, put a elevator of some sort up into an expanded safehouse. After that I can start a tunnel from the safehouse-tunnel to you.

For now, it's just a one-wide tunnel. Eventually I'll widen it and make a proper powered rail. Tunnel first, though.

I'm 30 on the Y axis, BTW.

I didn't even know that's what that was. I saw it when I started working on the second story but just assumed another player had set up shop there while I was away.

I've been hopping over every in-game night today but haven't seen any witches yet.

OK. My tunnel goes from the Northlands to spawn. Well, kinda. I think I stumbled into Aries home-woolery.

So I spiral staircased my way up. Only a few squares out of spawn.

I noticed the planned rail station with tracks planned at 12 and 10 x, I think. My tunnel is at 13x, 30y.

So i-we need to work out how to make use of my tunnel without muckim up anyone's home. I can backtrack just enough blocks to staircase my way up and come out a bit north of the rail station. Probably easier to dig down, actually.

Once we link my tunnel with an endpoint I'll expand the Northlands endpoint with a safe zone and start laying track.

The mess of signs and stone slabs at Spawn Station is just to show the other railway planner where the ladder to my tunnel is.

Also, sorry, Aries. I'll block it off and avoid running through your farms, unless you Want a station down there. Which I doubt.

Ok, I got the mess cleaned up. There's a stone building just off spawn to hold supplies and keep baddies out of the tunnel for now. Eventually we'll get it worked out so we don't need two terminals right at spawn. Maybe one larger building to house both?

Anyway, sorry for the mess earlier.

At least now there's a straight-shot from (near) spawn to the Northlands. The tunnel currently terminates just the other side of the jungle. I'll expand that with a nice station next.
Probably extend rail/tunnel/whatever out to others in the Northlands, as well.

I finished my first base near spawn and have claimed some small islands at around X 2010 Z 1221 If someone has already claimed them already let me know. Oh, and if anyone could check out my base near spawn and let me know what you think that would be great, as I think I might do something similar on those islands. Its the big stone thing surrounded and covered by trees within eyesight of the spawn vilage, so its kind of hard to miss.

Server is down? It's unreachable according to MC launcher.
