Minecraft Multiplayer: GWJ World

I can't believe this is apparently the only version of that idea...

Different song but much better video

Needs more cowbell.

Hmmm, I must be doing something wrong. It says I'm not whitelisted.

Bah, blasted whitelist bug. You should be good now though.

I was looking for some help finding a lego minecraft set for the cost in the store, does anyone have this?

I believe it's only available online at lego.com and amazon.com. It also sells out really quick.

Open box of legos. Pick out the square bricks. Boom! Minecraft lego set.

Go to the Lego Store. Get the $14 for as much lego as you can stuff in "this container". Research before and figure out which pieces you need.

I am just getting into the multiplayer of Minecraft. We have a world still?

Yep yep. Usually sort of empty, though. I still pop in periodically, but at this point I don't ever expect to finish my current project.

Any good servers?

This one. Plav and myself are waiting for the new world to jump back in again. We've already set about planning our next "small" build once it drops but that is awhile off. I am also keeping a close eye on player time logs on the server, can't let anyone usurp my no life status. Quintin is coming close but he's still a measly 404 hours shy of my time logged... I'm watchin' you Mr. Stone.

Error 404: No life found

A clean start would certainly hit the graffiti nerve again.
I lost my momentum last world. We need a mod that lets us keep a squid in a fish tank at the top of a mountain.

By the way, when doing this /build/ one or more big damn blocks which will fit in the space if you can. Then cram whatever you can around them to fill in any gaps. It'll take some time, but the Lego store folks are cool with it.

It's amazing what will fit inside their containers. Especially when you're talking about little "Minecraft" blocks.

The couple times I've gotten on the server, I've also hopped on Vent to see if anyone was on and didn't see any, but there also wasn't anyone else in the server. Do you all usually use Vent to chat?

Plav and I do when other people we are actively playing with are on, I also try to jump in there when I am on but sometimes the rush to build overwhelms me and I forget to. When it's just plav and I cooperating on a project though it's rather a moot point as our computers are in the same game room.

I never use Vent when playing Minecraft. Interferes with tv/movie watching.

I play during the day, usually to keep my hands busy during a phone meeting.

Yeah, they removed the java web app plug-in from the development machines in our lab. Now all that ram is just being used to run test data through our server software. *sigh*

I don't run this on my work machines, I assure you. This one is mine.

I am really looking forward to seeing what people can come up with in the Redstone Update. Looks like it will be possible to create a machine to turn a whole double chest full of items (or even linked series of double chests) into the cooked version of that item. Also it may be possible to make auto-harvesting farms that put the current ones to shame (now if we can just figure out a way to replant the seeds automatically). Also sounds like it will be possible to make a system with minecarts to transport and automatically load items at one stop and unload them at another stop before sending the cart back. All this thanks to the Hopper:

So you gonna watch Southie Rules?

I dunno, I'm not hearing good things about it... I guess I can always reread "Mystic River" or one of the others...

Wicked.

So, Large Biomes for the new world? I'm in favor.

A few of us have been messing around with a large-biomes world, and you really have to commit to letting your map sprawl pretty large. Those biomes are big. On the other hand, we started in a plains surrounded by several deserts, so there's lots of interesting villages and temples to explore. After connecting a few with roads and rails, the map is starting to resemble the early part of a Civ match.
