Good thoughts for Phoenix Rev appreciated

Friday afternoon's been moved up to either this afternoon or this evening. It all kind of depends on how fast I can get out of here with the few things I need to do in preparation to get out to Arizona, then on how bad traffic is between here and there.

HOLY SH*T, Rubb Ed is Bruce Springsteen?!?

Thank you all so much for your love and support.

There are still plenty of hurdles, but having Rubb Ed here, even for a quick weekend, will help tremendously.

Glad you're going to get some time together, best wishes on good news and a speedy recovery!

Sent good luck again gents!

Yay! Happy to hear you guys will be together this weekend. Everything else will fall into place. <3

Did things get moved up because your schedule opened up or because things got worse? I wasn't worried until dimmer planted the idea in my head, and now I am.

Happy to hear the bit of good news. I hope the trend continues!

I am happy to report that Rubb Ed is safely in Phoenix.

After a very tearful reunion, we held on to each other for an hour before promptly falling asleep in each others arms, which was probably the first easy feeling of sleep either of us has had in days.

We are now getting ready to get some dinner and just be together as husband and husband.

We both feel very safe and secure right now.

(Note to ClockworkHouse: We just decided to have him arrive a day earlier.)

Yeah, I just couldn't wait another day to get out here. Not being here with Phoenix Rev was making me cuckoo, and I'm already batty enough to start with.

Cockles of heart suitably warmed.

I might be grinning.

So glad you're reunited!

Those stupid allergies... Glad to hear you managed to get away a day early, Rubb Ed!!

And it has been wonderful. Rubb Ed has been a very attentive and loving husband and taking care of me even when I stupidly slammed my head against the washing machine about an hour ago.

Tomorrow, he is driving me to work and then picking me up and taking me to lunch and then we have the entire weekend to make Maggie Gallagher cry.

I vote that you be kept away from appliances and any kind of housework!!!
Hope it wasn't too serious.

Haven't had anything much to say, but you guys have been in my thoughts since this thread popped up. Glad things seem to be going well and hoping that investigation leads to an easy solution to the problems you've been having in the brain department.

For real! When I am sick, my wife does everything for me. When my wife is sick, I do everything... until she feels bad and then tries to work again even though she feels terrible because apparently she feels more shamed for not doing something no matter how many times I tell her to go back and lay down.

D'AWWW.

Best euphemism ever.

"Every time two gay men have sex, a NOM member's angel gets its wings torn off."

It always makes the heart lighter when the family is all together.

Unless you are all sick of one another. In those moments I'm usually ditching the kid at the in-laws. But this isn't one of those times.

Oh my gosh... I don't even know how to thank everyone yet who's donated. I just looked at the account, and there's almost $600. In a day.

Surely we can nudge it up higher than that. :)

I just have to wait for payday, been an expensive spring & summer for me this year.

No, it just gave him a bit of a welt. No skin broken or anything like that.

And believe me, I've been with him 12 years now. I think he could have a broken everything and he'd still figure out a way to do housework. Trust me, I've TRIED. It's usually best in these scenarios to just let him do his thing and not get in his way.

Additionally, we've gotten some more donations (THANK YOU!!!), but I don't have a screen name to go with the person, so let me put it this way: if you've donated, and you haven't gotten a PM from me requesting your snail mail address, would you please PM it to me? Phoenix Rev and I would both really appreciate it.

Glad to hear it. That's how I'd originally read his post, but then dimmerswitch planted the idea in my head that things weren't okay, and I'm a worrywort.

I get it, as noted, my wife is exactly the same way. She will be on her deathbed and still want to cut the grass because it's zen for her, or rake it up if she lets me cut it just because she feels bad that I'm doing work and she's not.

Good evening.

Rubb Ed and I would again like to express our continued humility and gratitude for the kindness of this amazing community.

Please make sure that Rubb Ed or me have your screen name and email address or snail mail address so that we can properly thank you for your generous kindness. We are also working on something to share with the Goodjer community. /maniacal laugh.

In the meantime, your love, thoughts, good wishes and assistance in helping us be together and cover some of the medical bills is appreciated more than you will ever know.

And, here is a photo taking this evening of the two of us enjoying our time together. (For those that don't know, the ginger is Rubb Ed.)

Thought I'd get on the happy-thoughts pile.

Hand check.

I wish I was at the place depicted on your shirt, drinking that very cocktail.

Nice pic, gents!

It's so great seeing you together, as in the same physical space

You two are awesome. If you ever find yourself in Connecticut let me know. If the docs say it's ok, drinks are on me!
